The radio station out here plays the Chili Peppers on heavy rotation.
I don't really care for them but now I get the joke on "The Good Place". How many songs about California do we need anyway?
I guess that I'm just a superficial Californian, but my tolerance for RHCP is much higher than it is for Nick Cave and the bad seeds (Cool name, though) - Even more so for his recent soundtrack/elevator music with Warren Ellis.
Interesting to hear the Chili Peppers still get talked about. I mean, they were formed in 1982 and got real popular in 1991. That's kind of a long time ago. Even for an old guy like me.

Find the instrumental version of "Still of the Night" on the tube of y'all, put your headphones on and rock on. John Sykes is an underrated guitar beast. Total 1990's pick dragging goodness. I believe that's Mr. Sykes to the left in your meme with the blond mane. LOL
Edit for a meme:

Sykes and Steve Vai weren't in the band at the same time: (L-R) keyboard player I can't recall, Tommy Aldridge (D) Vai (G) Rudy Sarzo (B) Coverdale (V)

In my teen years the best part of whitesnake was the videos with Tawney Kitaen.
