I swapped my last S10 bench for buckets because racecar. The current truck is staying the way it is. The vinyl flooring will be replaced with carpet, and the bench will be reupholstered. And that's the way it is.

Many many Mercedes have a column mounted shifter, or transmission switch, whatever you want to call it.
The only good thing about bench seats is that when I drive my old F150 my dog inevitably ends up pressed against me, and that's a very good feeling. I guess that there's another good thing about bench seats, but that hasn't happened to me in 40 years.
