I read want to know what happened to him. I had always assumed he was either run over or shot. I tried to find out and found a couple interesting stories from one of the photographers that was there. Apparently two unknown people pulled him down and into the crowd. There's a better than zero chance he survived the day depending on how that part of the crowd fared in the massacre.
