I was at Stiggler Alignment in Memphis yesterday. It was like stepping out into 1974. They even still had a Lance snack machine. Old school alignments done the right way. They did my buddy's '56 Caddy for 65.00. Blew my mind.

We've got an alignment shop like that in downtown Des Moines-- been there since 1932.

That whole article is an example of how AI is a bad idea for journalism. They've fixed the error in the first part, but it's still not right. Another quote:
In the 20th century, manual transmissions defined the typical American car, with classics like Cadillac and Ferrari. However, in recent decades, the industry shifted toward automatic as the new standard.
It reads like it makes sense, but it's so wrong.

Cool, I didn't know it had a name! Though in the headline referenced, I really wonder whether it's incompetence or AI... It's like the new version of the "crazy or Bluetooth" game...

I'm gonna say it's because of how steep that ramp going from the overpass to ground level would have to be without the 360. Also, that's gonna be fun going down into the decreasing radius.

That picture has been floating around the meme world for a couple of months now. I have given up explaining the height of the overpass above the railroad tracks and the required distance to get back to ground level. These guys are smarter than the average bear so I didn't think it was necessary in this case.

"Stupid, Brainwashed, or Conspiracy" is the game I like to play with "news" sources. One of those 3 will work more often than not.
