I have to have a PCP listed on most medical forms for routine stuff like eye exams. I have the name memorized, though I haven't actually been to see him in 4 years. He could be retired by now...hell, I'm not even sure if he's still alive.

And yes, I was renting this house
No pictures, but I blued a gun barrel in the bathtub. Twice. Also in a rental.
Oh, but landlords are just out to screw their tenants, right?

This is Alex's. It is the epitome of the classic locally owned diner. This particular one is about 2 miles from my house. I grew up within a couple of miles of one of these. There used to be 5 of them around town. There are now 2. It's still one of my favorite restaurants. Good, unpretentious food. They don't do fancy, they do food. Inexpensive. Properly sized portions, as in the amount you will eat instead of giving everyone a to-go box. You can get anything from liver and onions or a sandwich to an omelet at any hour of the day. I eat here at least once a month. There may be better food in town but this is the place to come for a really good and inexpensive meal.
They make awesome pies and cakes as well and will sell you anything from a slice to the whole thing.

While in Blackshear, GA for work I found the Oak Plaza Restaurant, as it was walking distance from my hotel (the only hotel in town). They have no website, and no online reviews. They accept cash. They have, as far as I can tell, only a passing interest in the menu, as they'll pretty much fix you up whatever you like. The last time I was there, which was a couple of years ago, I would get a 3 egg omelet with meat and veggies, a cup of coffee, and grits, for $6.
Whenever I travel for work I try to find the most off-the-beaten path, cheapest, wood-paneled, vinyl seated places to eat, and they're usually good.

If you are ever in Fennville, MI, try the Blue Goose Cafe. It's a hole in the wall with about 10 tables. They have a 3 egg omelet that will give you a heart attack before you leave the table. It is spectacular.

My PCP is known as "Med Express". If I even tried to see a PCP around here, I'd probably get an appointment for 2029.
