This is just a terrible thing to say to GRM. Of course, now we're all looking at CL and FB and saying "ooo look, a '74 Valiant for $2900!" and "hey, I'd forgotten about the AWD MPV".
Gotta say Dave's right about my local marketplace. As long as you're willing to drive something from the last decade, there are a bunch of reasonable options below that threshold. Like a rust free 2004 Accord or a clean Trailblazer. Or, for the GRM folks, an AWD MPV and a P71 and a rolled Tacoma that would totally make a great drivetrain donor for the Land Rover...
But I shall leave you with the Valiant.
