You can still buy extremely nice, handmade solid wood furniture. It's heirloom quality. It just doesn't look like a cathedral barfed all over your living room.
Plus if you bought the fancy antiques you be going baroque pretty quick.....

I ditched non-GRM social media many years ago so I found out through a new hire that an enormously socially awkward, blunt, and gruff coworker apparently always posted the funniest memes on FB. The new guy had somehow Facebook "befriended" awkward guy before meeting him in person. I remember the new guy's innocent bewilderment upon working with awkward guy for just a couple hours. Kind of talking to himself, "I can't believe that is the same person."
