I have read LSD, PCP, meth and Bath Salts. I don't think they really know at this point what it was and it is all speculation and trying to come up with a reason the public will swallow.

There are also people now saying the cops used excessive force and should not have shot the guy. Others say they hope his family sues the city.

If you want to not eat for the day pictures of the victims face are now floating around the net. Basically there is no face left and the eyes were gouged out and eaten as well.

So, when the face-eaten victim bites one of the doctors working on him...

Can we finally cut Florida off the mainland and set it adrift yet? (We'll take up a collection to get the GRM team out first, of course.)

Excessive force? Gotta love the Monday (er, Tuesday) morning quarterbacking. I wonder how much was paid for the 'eaten face' pictures? THAT is truly sick, IMHO.

A naked man was eating another person's face, did not stop when asked and did not stop when shot the first time. Or second time. Excessive force was the minimum required in this situation!

Law states that deadly force is to be used only in situations where someone's life is in danger or significant damage [that could possibly lead to death] may occur.

If anyone doesn't think deadly force should have been used, go take a look at those pictures and you just may change your mind. If you aren't used to seeing real severe trauma, I suggest you prepare yourself.

Oh trust me I think that the cop actually showed restraint when he first came on the scene. If I was in his shoes I would have done the same. Also as a CCW holder I have to be familiar with the laws regarding deadly force just in case I ever need to use my weapon in defense of myself or another.

I think those that beleive the cop used excessive force need a serious reality check. It is sad that in todays society it is always someone elses fault and no matter what wrong you do you (or your family) can sue someone because of your mistakes.

I was just quoting you. I understood your stance. In Missouri you cannot be sued if you kill or maim someone in self defense assuming the subject is the one who was perpetrating.

No worries. Sadly I wish it was the same in all states as it is there. When you go through concealed carry training out here they basically tell you that if you pull the trigger expect to be sued.

We've had a few clean shootings. All you can expect is to have your gun taken away for a few days to confirm the bullet came from your gun. We are very liberal with our gun laws, so its a very nice state to live in if you're a gun person or you simply believe in the right to protect yourself. (Real "liberal," not political "liberal.") The attorney general is a pro-gun person and I support that.

Governor Nixon (although I didn't vote for him) has done some pretty neat things for gun rights. Missouri now has no guidelines regarding silencers and machine guns. Obviously all federal laws have to be followed, though. Give some money to the man.

Huh another state a man guts himself and starts throwing pieces of his guts at cops. Pepper spray had no effect, again did not respond to commands...

The guy throwing his own intestines at cops was in NJ, but yes, FL has had some other odd stuff happening. (Hence the link in my previous post.) Unexplained rashes where clothing is hauled away by hazmat, and no explanation is ever given, mysterious chemicals released into airports, non-violent people becoming violent, etc.

It is common for bloody clothes are hauled away by hazmat. Happens after any accident in the factory I'm at.

Drugs can make people act very strange. I would like a link to the story regarding chems released in an airport.

Hmmm... It says an aerosol can exploded. I would expect an overreaction to something like that.

The times we live in are getting strange. With the introduction of more powerful narcotics, the increase in homeland security due to terrorism, and excessive health regulations (weather necessary or not), this is what we can expect to see more of.

An exploding aerosol can? Of course I am armchair quarterbacking but shutting down the airport seems a bit excessive. Well, on second thought maybe not; I guess until they knew exactly what had happened it would be prudent to err on the side of caution.

Good to see there are some calm and logical people left in the world. I seem to be surrounded by psychos who immediately jump to the "THE GOVERMENT IS POISONING THE WATER TO MAKE PEOPLE EAT EACH OTHER TO CONTROL THE POPULATION" conclusion.
