They have a damn fine cup of coffee.
So it sounds like Saturday is the way to go. Ohio folks are always welcome, just posted it as a Michigan event to denote its location.
Anyone have a further south location sugesstion?
I have no knowledge of anything further south than Detroit. There are a bunch of cool places in Corktown, with easy freeway access being a plus. Batch Brewing Company, Green Dot Stables, Mercury Bar, etc.
I doubt I can make it, but I like suggesting bars to strangers on the Internet.

All the places you mentioned will be impossible to get a group into, much less talk inside.
I can't go this time. Have fun!

I love blackthorn in my own town but you can't have a decent conversation in it:(

Maybe true of Green Dot, but the other two are almost perfect for a group. Batch is all communal seating at long tables and Mercury has (or at least did when i was there last spring) a heated patio with quite a bit of seating and a courtyard as well.
Griffin Claw in Bham is quite a bit larger, but it is the exact same seating situation as Batch.
Mercury's patio is a good spot. Secure parking directly behind too..
Depending on time of day, you could do Vinsetta or Duggan's as well.
I'll be in Pittsburgh getting my new winter beater unfortunately.
Where is there a Twin Peaks?
... which is only a few miles from Black Lotus Brewing at 14mile and Livernois or Sushi Do at 18.5 mile and Crooks or Blaze Pizza in downtown Royal Oak.
We'll start with this: 2pm Saturday - Original Gravity brewing in Milan.
its a bit further south to lure Ohio folks, but no too far away from civilization. looks small, so hopefully not crowded early on in the day.
I've never been here, so if it sucks don't blame me.
Oops, missed the update. Unfortunately I'm helping a friend with a brake job then. Good place, though. I liked the beer when I was there a few years ago.

I'm headed out soon!
Good talking, good beer ,a really good Reuben sandwich. It was a good afternoon with like minded individuals.

Yup, that was a 1951 MGTD. I was getting it running for a friend. It left last Fall.
Anything going on over turkey day? I'll be in Farmington Hills at the in-laws from Wednesday to Saturday. Save me from in-law hell.
