AKA: "I sat on a tube in a freshwater lake and survived"
July 30th Tennesseans will gather at a marina. Don life vests and mount their inner tubes to watch Jaws on the big screen. Anyone who stays in the water for the whole thing gets a t-shirt

They should take water samples before and after the event.
lol. yeah staying in the water for two hours will lead to more water in the lake than they started with.
Still, very cool idea. I'd go.
Time for a snorkel and a fake fin. ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/evil-18.png)
We had "dive-in" movies when I was in college. It did add a little something to Jaws.

It's not New York and it's not Los Angeles.. that means it's either the deep south or the midwest..
Make sure to pull up Wikipedia before the movie starts:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bull_shark
"Bull sharks can thrive in both saltwater and freshwater and can travel far up rivers. They have been known to travel as far up the Mississippi River as Illinois,[2] although there have been few recorded freshwater human-shark interactions. They are probably responsible for the majority of near-shore shark attacks, including many bites attributed to other species.[3]"
That'll save them a few shirts.
We do that down here in Austin, too!
Couple of slight differences, though.
1) Alcohol IS served.
2) From previous shows, they have employees swimming around in the water tugging on arms and legs at various times....

I hope those employees are up on their hepatitis vaccinations.
