Great car for $30,000.... unfortunately, it's $50k.
What an odd car. It's really not that much fun to drive hard. Not a bad car, but I think most folks would be better off with the regular model. And most of us would prefer the Cooper S.

50k for a MINI...good god.
good article, but yeah it's pricey.
I really like the Countryman, but I get so many mixed reviews of MINI's quality that I don't know if I'd buy one.
Also, Canada has an Air Conditioning Tax?

Is it $50k in US dollars, as well???
A couple of years ago, MINI did the Goodwood, which was a MINI with a Roll Royce interior. That was $52k IIRC.

Gotta fix the global warming, dude. Someone has to pay for all the good works the Gov does.

Yup, we pay $100 for air. A couple of years ago, there was a class action suit naming several manufacturers over sticking consumers with the extra money on top of the purchase price, but I'm not sure where that ended up. Worth looking into, I think.

The Mini Goodwood had a really swank interior, with plush carpeting. Best one I saw was a Cooper at their Oxford plant which was covered in "pony fur".
The Countryman makes me think that BMW needs to pull their dictionary out and double check the definition of "mini".
