Yes! Looks like a 20 car parking lot. Seriously, why so big?
It's the angle and lens effect. It's not as big an area as it appears. Here is the satellite view:
There is gravel along the fence on the left side. That huge, low evergreen bush on the corner has to go though.

That's what we call flagpole lickin' weather!
My son got in a minor single car accident at the beginning of last year. He goes to school out of state so I couldn't work on it. Getting it repaired was an absolute E36 M3 show. Fast forward to today and we installed a new set of headlights. While we were working on the car I noticed that one of the front tires had a bubble in the sidewall and was down to the wear bars. I took a closer look and realized that it was worn to to point that you could see threads on the inside edge of the tread. Apparently they put a used tire on the car when they repaired it. shiny happy people!
We are now at month number 7 of waiting for prestige spares in the uk to fix their berkeley up.
Late November last year, i ordered a 3.63 diff
They sent me a diff, that i installed. It was noisy, and making debris on the magnetic drain plug. It was also a 4.11 ratio. They said to run it till it broke. I broke it in june. I have been being told every couple of weeks since then that they are making it right and sending my diff that i bought and paid for out next week.
I still have a broken berkeleying miata.
If and when my replacement shows up, im probably going full Hennessey honda of woodstock on them. Im a little pissed.
Also, to top it off, the organization that i was running with for cheap track time, and volunteering with for free track time, has folded. I cannot afford track time more than autocross, as an hpde weekend entry is now $600 around here and thats just not realistic in my budget. Which makes mu nascar build pointless.
Kinda a kick in the emotional nuts tonight. And my friend is in my prayers. He's hurting worse than i am. My problems are nothing compared to his.
Thank God we are wasting our time painting this stupid pantry cabinet that literally no prospective buyer would give two berkeleys about.
I tried to explain that nobody would care if it doesn't match the rest of the kitchen and that painting it would look like crap but no, it must be painted or the sun will explode.
berkeley this thing
It has been 10° or less for 24 hours+ now, and my 1920 house cannot keep up. Furnace is running and blowing hot air, but the thermostat dropped from 64 when I went to bed to 55 when I got up this morning. Another full day or 2 of this weather is here..

I refuse to paint wood furniture. Under no circumstance will I cover up the beauty of wood with something boring like paint. To me, it makes it look cheap.

Even the south is going to be cold.
North Carolina mountains.
South Carolina on the coast. For us, this is terrible weather.
I have to do front pads and rotors on my 2008 Fit so it'll pass state inspection. I was hoping to do that today in the driveway since I'm off for the holiday but we have a high forecasted to hit 19 degrees. Now I'll have to reluctantly push my Miata outside to free up a garage bay. Not a big rant, but I really don't want to leave the Miata outside in the snow and cold with blowing crap from the hemlock trees next to my driveway. I'm doubting that this flimsy plastic car cover won't get blown away.
Currently it's 6.
Assuming that the hydraulic shop can get the line rebuilt for me, I'm going to have to go out there and crawl under the motorhome to replace it. I'm thinking that Wednesday is going to be the least bad day for that....
I'm about an hour South of wae:
Currently 11F out if my watch is to be believed and about an inch or so of fluff on the ground- which is more snow than we saw up in central WI when we were there over Christmas (first time I can remember it hasn't snowedor at least had snow on the ground when we've been there in winter).
I'm glad that I was able to get the hot tub repaired and back up to temperature before things started to drop over the weekend. Don't know if we'll actually use it while it's this cold (I think our record for going out in a hot tub is about -2F), but at least I'm not worried about anything freezing since it's so difficult to get all of the water out of the lines when it's drained.

And the car that turned on just fine to get me to the grocery store for firewood isn't starting to get me home. Just cranking. berkeley, it's cold
Remember that starter in the church plow truck that two years ago I told you was going bad? And you, characteristically, ignored any advice that didn't come from your own mouth? It's still going bad. And screwing up my morning.
Also, that movement I might have seen among the fallen leaves the other day really was a thing. My wife opened the back door to see a mouse staring at her. Right beside the TomCat bait trap that apparently does nothing.
Coldest day of the winter and the furnace is short cycling, probably just flame sensor, we will find out when the part gets here.
The oil puddle under the lady's car was actually MINE. I moved and she pulled into my spot. Drip, drip, drip. With the bad AC, tires, the ridiculous BMW parts, and now this, I suspect we will exceed our car repair budget by 3x this year.

Oh, don't get me started. I wasted so much time sanding and finishing cabinets, shelves, etc only to have Mrs. Tester say paint it white. Almost everything in our house is white or off white "distressed". She wonders why I don't build some bookshelves.
Yup, I'm joining the folks with cranky vehicles in the cold.
Remote started my Silverado yesterday when it was -8F. Wasn't happy but started up.
Checked it 10 minutes later and it was off. Got all bundled up and went out to fire it back up. Cranked forever and then fired up with a check engine light. Moved it out of the way and took the wife's Golf for groceries. Her car sits in the garage.
Will check it out on Wednesday or Thursday when it is above 0F.
Found that the floating WiFi temperature sensor in the hot tub was not transmitting, so pulled it out and changed the batteries. Nope, still not working. Took it apart, and it looks like water got in and the LCD is berked and the whole thing isn't working. After a bit of thinking, decided that it might be good after all to have the WiFi connectivity unit for the new hot tub control board. Went to order it and (in a rare bit of foresight on my part) decided to double-check that it was compatible with the unit that I ordered and just installed. Aaaaand it's not- since it was a bit cheaper I apparently ordered the board version that doesn't have the interface for the WiFi add-on... so without trying to exchange the current unit and having to pull it out and install a new one, I'm not getting direct WiFi control of the hot tub. Berk.
Thankfully I found a WiFi sensor that I hope will work well (it's in the same ecosystem and uses the same app as a few other things I already have and have been fairly happy with), so hopefully that will last a while (if I can find a good way to mount the sensor).
Drove to the dump only to remember it's a holiday and they're closed. Drove home and found a screw in my tire.

WTF
I had similar issues yesterday morning with my 2016 Silverado. Drove to church okay, drove to Whole Paycheck to grab some frozen okra. No start after 10 minutes inside the store. Two year old Interstate battery.
Cranks, then starts with engine 50% missing. Plug in OBD reader and figure I'd clear the code and instantly it runs perfect and check engine light and low power sign goes away. Drove home 10 miles with no issues.
Here's my code.
