Oh sure, force me to download your app to manage my account. Except that for most things you have to call customer service for anyway. Like canceling my service.

So that call only took 20 minutes so the customer service rep could try and sell me more services. Oh and you final bill will be $54.99.

I always bring a book, but as of last summer they allow electronics in the building. At least in the jury waiting room. You have to turn it off once you're inside a courtroom.
The GF decided that it would be a great idea to work the entire week before we leave this Saturday.
That means I get the privilege of loading an entire 28ft trailer by myself. The house is 80% packed at this point but it's still a ton to do by myself.
Like sure, it's more important to go to work rather than help me pack our house up. Especially since the freight company will pick the trailer up tomorrow. So today is it.
But I hired a couple of guys to help me. It will cost me $360 for 3 hours of work. I literally cannot do everything by myself in the timeframe.

It will be easier and much less stressful without her helping. Trust me...

A while ago I checked how much carvana would give me for my cars, out of curiosity. Now they send me monthly emails to remind me of how much they lowballed me. They also do this with my cayman that is apparently worth 8k, now.
funny, my 2012 Abarth is worth 8 grand to them too.

We refinanced our house back in 2015 or 2016, and for some reason the bank came out with a $.01 overpayment on our end on the old mortgage. They mailed me a check for $0.01. I texted it to my banker and he thought it was hilarious and that I should hang on to the check, which I did. This year I checked the state's "missing money" site and there's something for us from that bank. I know exactly what it is, and I am very amused to think about the amount of work that a $0.01 error has caused.
Similarly, I sent a tablet in to Amazon as trade-in on something. They refused it saying the model number was wrong. They were giving me $0.50 for it in trade; the only reason I sent it in was the 20% off coupon they offered. I still got the 20% off coupon, but they *shipped the tablet back to me*!! Over $0.50! They would have been so much money ahead to just give me the $.50. Or ask if I wanted it back - which I would have said no to.

Brother, you speak the truth. I love her to death but sometimes it's better if she doesn't help.

Jury duty.
Forgot my earbuds.
I recently was called for Jury Duty. When I told them I'm on anxiety meds, which I am, they immediately dismissed me from Jury Duty.
It was really more being in a large room with a ton of people and worrying about bringing COVID or the flu or something similar home to the better half. Since she has an auto-immune disease, I'm always worried about bringing something home or when she has to travel for work.
She traveled to Denver for work last week, came home with a fever.........then I was out the last few days with a fever and throat so swollen I could barely speak or eat.

I missed the LP & test out and now have to do an 'education' bit for the CDL. Thankfully waiting has allowed people to figure out the FMVSS 'education' requirement down to an online course. Just waiting now until spring to do the whole thing.

There's a Facebook group that I'm part of that's all historical photos. And there's a guy that posts some real gold in there. But he'll post a bunch of really rare photos for two or three days, then delete them all without warning a day or two later, and then a month or two later, post the same photos again over a two or three day span and then delete them shortly after. Wash, rinse, repeat. Really frustrating, because I'll go to look for something and they'll all be gone.
And, as if on cue, he started posting them again today

More pure confusion and bafflement than a rant, but...
Its 9:30, and lightly raining. Not full dark, but dark enough.
Why, on God's green earth, are the contractors still outside with a bobcat clearing the lot next door? And I say clearing, but I mean "clearing" cause they don't have any work lights and no lights on the bobcat.

Maybe the operator is being paid by the baggie, trying to get in some OT for a good weekend? #floridathings
Or if they wait, the ground will be waterlogged, unable to be traversed by the Bobcat.
I've had to outrun/chase the rain as an excavator.
Delta delayed our flight from Orlando by 3 hours today, and then while taxi-ing the pilots went too fast and overheated the brakes, so this plane full of small children leaving Disney has been stationary in the runway for an additional hour. I should have already been home, and I have yet to leave the ground
I'm working too much and I'm exhausted, many small things are falling thru the cracks but the small things are the things I enjoy.
I literally have people that I've told I won't do their job, asking again and again and while that is a win for a small company....I don't want the job and can't do the job.
I'm tired....
Drove from Atlanta to south bend Indiana. It rained the entire time. I turned my wipers off once and had to turn them back on 30 seconds later
No, I am not interested in your $900 used dealer wheel and tire protection package when the tires are off brand and the vehicle has 50k mile factory rims. Just post the honest price when you list the stupid car.
Wife is driving the zx2 and as she pulls out of the driveway, she loses brakes. I have her drive back home as I don't have the time to deal with it, and set out on my own stuff to do today.
Get to the road and I see something in the driveway

Apparently the brake pad came off the backing and shattered.
First time I've ever had that happen.....
The hotshotter who transported the GF's non-running Wrangler could not get his truck and trailer down the row of storage units and apparently did not want to push it 50ft so he helpfully left it in their parking lot.
Thankfully, the manager of the storage facility was very understanding and will allow the Jeep to sit there until we arrive around Wednesday or Thursday.
We are leaving tomorrow and have a 3-4 day drive in a vehicle with two cats, one of which hates being in her carrier so she constantly meows/screams.
I'll be so berkeleying happy when all of this is behind us. This has been the most anxious and stressed out I've ever been over a move.
In reply to Antihero :
Fairly common here, the pad material rusts and rust jacking pops the lining off. Or a cone or two of lining remains attached, mechanically locking the rest of the lining in place until you remove the caliper for other services.
We recommend pads at 4mm for this reason and this reason alone. When they are old enough to be worn that thin, delamination becomes a possibility.

Towel over the cat carrier of the angry cat. Had a cat like that once, it worked.
