Density huh? I just have no idea where the hell this comes from.

I mean so let's just say that gravity is a myth perpetuated by NASA ( this was my guys theory) what in the ever living berkeley would it matter? Suddenly the world is better because they are not hoodwinked by NASA? We all get free money and hot and cold running blowjobs? Who gives a berkeley and why would they try to make us think it???

What are your guys thoughts on the " Military Branch of NASA" because apparently there is one lol

Today he started complaining about superhero movies and how TV is making everyone stupid. Then immediately jumped into how NASA brainwashed everyone into believing that the moon landing was real. Yes, that's right, he believes that the moon landing was faked by Hollywood.

Then he went into a tirade about how the ISS is fake and satellites are just balloons. Balloons that crash all the time and are on the news. He passionately defended his position when questioned but couldn't give any real evidence, just crackpot theories that he had seen.

As someone who has worked in military communications and satellite networks almost all of my career, I cannot fathom the level of mental gymnastics and lack of critical thinking skills one must possess to arrive at that level of stupidity.

He's 62 years old and I seriously believe he has lead poisoning from all of his years in aviation.

Oh God he sounds insufferable.

I don't understand how anyone really thinks the moon landing wasn't real, what purpose would it be if it was fake?

FWIW my guy decided that the Moon Landings were actually true ...........but it didn't matter because the Moon is fake. He would go on about the " stupid people who were thinking that the Moon Landing was fake, when the real smart people knew the Moon itself didn't exist". I'm not sure if that's worse, better or just all around sad.

I did get a $100 MR2 from him, do there's that though.

If you really want to rile the guy up, and I know I'm sort of dancing on the line of No Politics here but it's not a topic of discussion on here (and I will gladly edit it if the Mods don't like it), ask him what he thinks about the Left Wing controlling all Americans thru the School Lunch Program lol

He is insufferable. One of the guys from my site, who is a competent debater, got him all riled up to the point where flat earther guy just rambled incoherently about anything and everything.

I had to step outside as my blood was starting to boil.

Just because you don't understand science is not an argument against it. I consider this guy an oxygen thief.

Funny enough, in the flat earth belief system, the whole aviation industry is considered to be something between a minor and major villain.

At a minimum, they're involved in hiding the existence of the ice wall and that the continents aren't where we roundies think they are. Any pilot who takes certain routes, certainly those involving Australia, is in on it.

At most, the less popular theory of who's behind it all and who benefits makes the aerospace industry into the masterminds behind the whole thing, covering up the earth's discitude to hide that air and space travel are far less expensive than they'd have us believe.

I've heard that, in that it would be cheaper to simply raise a balloon and let the planet rotate under the balloon.

Except they don't believe that the planet spins, either.  I guess the stars moving in the sky means the whole universe does?

That's right, they believe the rest of the universe is moving around the Earth beyond the spotlight of the sun, while also accelerating constantly "upward" in the same direction.

The balloon idea might work if Earth had winds more like Neptune laugh I wonder how plausible it would be to have a planet with earth-like winds at lower altitudes and lots of super-jet-streams at higher altitudes that could yeet a balloon around the planet fast enough to make it a practical alternative to an airliner...

"Absence of proof isn't proof of absence" and in this case not even looking into the reasoning isn't  proof that it doesn't exist

It's a shocking world they live in, full of people trying to trick them at every turn but somehow they have seen thru it all and stand triumphant.

It's actually.....very sad

From what I gather, the " universe" doesn't exist either  so.....maybe?

A lot of it is insecurity, if there are concepts they don't understand, it's not that the concepts are difficult for them but easy for others, it's that the others are lying.
