My office is about 10 miles from the Atlantic Ocean and surrounded by tidal rivers. Unfortunately, the Atlantic is to the southeast and almost all of our weather comes out of the northwest.

I didn't know which side of the state you were on and assumed wrong 
Our weather comes from the NW too, unfortunately that means we get Canadian air that's traveled across a lake or three.
It's more fun as you go northeast from here. I do believe NickD has had some things to say about the yards of snowfall they got this year
