That's always true. Wasting the seller's time, with a sob story however, is voluntary.

This makes no sense, and should not exist
If you're spending Maserati money you deserve a sports car. Is you are fortunate enough to be able to do so, consider a lesser priced dedicated track car and a separate SUV/truck for your kid transport/towing/hauling stuff needs
Putting tires on a friend's Hyundai. Was joking about he should be extra sure to keep oil in it since used GDI engines are crazy expensive, did one last month and the bill with parts and labor was $9800.
Then I go to back it out of the shop. Oil change is 8500mi overdue per the maintenance indicator. Checked the dipstick, engine was two quarts low.
Scowling, I re-set the lift and donated an oil filter and five quarts of 5W30 to the cause.
He's doing really good for oil consumption (being a warranty replacement engine probably helps) but still. You have to check and replenish now and then, and get it changed more often than never...

My daughter the Vet was called into a spay on an old, fat dog where the bleeding was out of control. All ended OK, except she, like her Father, has a tendency to say stuff out loud, as a reminder to herself. In this case, she said "Count the sponges" several times.
This was a big problem for one of the vet techs
I say, in an emergency, you don't get to have hurt feelings.
Lyme Disease. What a way to completely waste one full week of doing anything. Felt tired last Tuesday after work, had planned to go for a run but didn't. Ended up even falling asleep for a few hours. Managed to make it to work Wednesday but then all downhill from there.
Long story short, antibiotics kicking in now and improving. Other than the bare minimum going to urgent care, picking up prescription, and minimal eating, etc. absolutely nothing productive was accomplished.
Now to start getting things back in order. Which include figuring out what another health issue is that's been going on the past two months.
I love having to support a half-baked product after all the people that made it have left the company.

You don't understand just how much money some people have these days. They see no reason to have 2 better-suited cars for less than the price of one that is a compromise. The guy who owns that may already have a 6-digit dedicated track car but also wants a premium SUV that is fast.

Conspicuous consumption. Being a waste of money *is* the point. You're showing the world that you've got so much money that you can waste it.
A day off work. 6 hours outside in the rain in line at the dmv. And the wrong way down the one way lane so she failed her license test before leaving the parking lot.
And if you look at platform sharing in the luxury/performance SUV, Volkswagen Touareg.
On the Volkswagen Group MLB Evo C/D, it shares with the
BoxheadTim said:Not sure if this is specific to the greater DMV area or more widespread. Seems like every seller of cars that people on here would find interesting prices the car as if comes with a couple of gold bars or a trunk full of high quality 'shine. At least that's the only explanation I can think of why people would expect a 06 or 07 Mustang GT (not a Shleby) be worth anywhere near the $15k they're asking.
It's everywhere. Up here I know of a decent FB RX7 with an LS in it that the kid is trying to sell for $8K because he is financing a new Z.
$8000 probably isn't badly priced for a decent job LS swapped FB, but considering he smoked a curb with the car trying to show off on cruise night, the rear axle took the hit so hard, the rear wheels didn't 'roll' when putting it on the trailer. So it needs a rear axle assembly and suspension and possibly body mounting repairs. His for sale ad is of the car still on the trailer.
People are just pricing things full goofy because they can post lowballer offers as 'content'
Ever put the bumper cover on an FR-S, by yourself? No you haven't. Is physically impossible unless you've removed a fare bit of plastic designed to hold it on in the first place. berkeley this bumper. And berkeley the shiny happy person that designed it.

I stated that he's not being electrocuted because there's no path to ground.
People are arguing with me.
We are doomed.
I once failed a test in junior high because one of the questions was if the ground in an electrical system was conductive.
I answered yes but apparently the right answer was no and I was told " the ground can't conduct electricity at all, it's the only thing in an electrical system that can't" and the teacher caused a scene because no asked how it could not be conductive and be a ground.
I got detention for asking the question nicely, and is probably one of the reasons why I view authority figures as idiots

I walked out of a Poli Sci in college over the first test. It asked things "Who said what on page 323 of X book?" The professor emailed me later and said he understood my frustration and that I could come back and take the test.
I politely responded that I had already dropped the class because I was there to learn not memorize quotes from specific pages.

It looks like a 20 year old Infinity FX35. Most of these things look like 20+ year old asian SUV/crossovers to me.
Get a call from the local Hospital, and I have no reason to get one.
" Is this Antihero?"
Yes it is ( stomach drops because it's in the town that SaxyHero is currently in)
" Oh thank God!!!"
( 5 second silence where I wonder about what horrible things have happened)
"Glad I could get a hold of you! We wanted to get you scheduled for a yearly checkup because of your inhaler refills"
Apparently they have an office at the hospital now
Also berkeley YOU FOR ANSWERING THAT WAY!
berkeley berkeley berkeley
My dad was having back pain for about the last month. His PCM of 35 years, who retired a week after seeing him, said that it was just arthritis. He transferred my dad to another doctor in the same practice who did an MRI.
He has a tumor by his spine that is causing immense pain.
He's had two appts where they zapped the tumor with radiation. He's still in a lot of pain and is on fentanyl patches. He can't drive and my mom can't drive because she has macular degeneration.
My sister is up there right now but she has her 9 month old son with her. Her and her husband are in the middle of a PCS but she is spending like a month there while her husband moves the household.
So I'm trying to get there but Delta delayed my flight out of DFW 3 times which caused me to miss my connection to home. So I changed my flight to Seattle and then home. But now my flight to Seattle is delayed. Delta can gargle my balls
I'm tired, stressed and pissed off. And I still have to navigate requesting FMLA through my work. My post-deployment LWOP ends this Friday so I need to get everything in place. But I have to coordinate with HR who hasn't emailed me in 4 days.
Some vacation, huh?

Wouldn't start.
Negative battery cable was a piece of 16ga wire.
Guy had a hard time understanding when I explained that the return side of the circuit needs to be just as big as the feed.
Oh well, it turns over properly now.

SO MUCH THIS.
Got Lyme Disease first time in my life. Now I'm just being taunted.
Yesterday, walked across the front yard for mail. Found this when I got inside.
Woke up this morning to shower. Out the back door.
F*ck you, Capital 1. There's a charge I don't recognize on my business credit card. I spend several tens of thousands of dollars with you every month. Are you SERIOUSLY telling me that you cannot ship a replacement card overnight, and that you cannot cross-ship a new card such that the old card remains active until the new one arrives?
Well, this forces me to switch about $10k of charges onto a different credit card.
You know how you lose a customer? This is how you lose a customer.
Buh-bye, Cap1. GFY while you're at it.
