Girlfriend is dog sitting for the weekend. Good Lord, these people should not be allowed to own a dog. This thing is almost a year old, and it is pretty obvious that they have never taken any effort to train the thing. It is a good dog in that it is not mean or aggressive, but it is not well behaved at all.

You ever hear of the term "short leash"? Yeah, this dog needs one. So explain to me why you have 2(!) leashes strapped together? No wonder the thing doesn't know how to walk on one. You might also want to invest in a pinch collar.

Dogs are not allowed to jump. I don't know why you let this one put its front paws on the counter to see what you are doing. I prepare food there.

Dogs are not cats. They are not allowed on every fricken surface they can get to. I suppose I can make an exception for 1 couch/chair/bed, but I have a hard time even doing that. Clearly you have had cats for too long.

Speaking of the cats, you have cats. Why is it that every single seating surface is cloth? Yuck. Please, vacuum them out, then steam clean them, then throw them out as you get leather ones. I can't sit down anywhere in that place without my eyes tearing up and my throat tickling.

Also, whoever drives that Impala or Malibu in the driveway needs new front tires. If I were a cop and stopped you I'd give you a ticket for that. But you probably aren't going to do anything about that seeing as you didn't do anything when your daughters car was beyond the cords last year.

I got called to interview for a new job, which is awesome...but its gonna involve commuting 3.5 to 5 hours roundtrip depending upon traffic, which is kind of a downer.

Ah well, if I get it, I can use the experience and the extra cash to hopefully find a gig a little closer to home at close to the same rate.

thanks for spending the last half hour (2245-2315) trying to start your POS explorer (which has one pink/zebra print duct tape window)

It's awesome, considering it's right outside my door and all I hear is you more than likely flooding your engine.
OH! it started! rev the E36 M3 out of it bubba! oh, there....it died again.

I wish they would just stay away, or maybe just get their cars running before 11pm...

Same cadre of people (there are more than 6 people living there, in a small 3 bedroom apartment, with probably two jobs (I'm being generous here) between them all) who, when I was doing the beetle t-belt job in a parking space, pointed at the alternator and asked if I was gonna replace the water pump too

Listening to Pandora and a commercial for some show called "Splash" comes on. People seriously watch this E36 M3?

Sporting tickets: why is an event sold out in a minute, then 1 day later, they are back up for sale with ridiculous markups?

Also, why are you charging me a convenience fee? You don't have to do anything! I have to do more work; it should be cheaper for me!

Its because online ticket sales and the companies that do it are the work of the devil, and should be stopped. If you want to go, you should have to stand in a lineup.

I seldom go to concerts anymore, purely because of Ticketmaster.

We have 2 awesome small venues here that I can go buy a ticket at during my lunch break. Get some fairly big names there too, just not the mega-stars. I have much more fun at those than I do at big-ticket events anyways.

So, my interview today went really well, and they want me to start ASAP. The only hitch is that I have to transfer from my local branch to theirs, and my local branch refuses to let me leave because they'd have to pay overtime in my absence.

Now, I understand this, but my local office is lazy as berkeley. Whether I give them two weeks or two months notice, they won't have anyone hired and trained up in time.

A call has been put out to the powers that be, so this may be sorted out...but I'm not holding my breath.

Why does nissan feel the need to put the clips for connectors on the hard-to-access side of things? same deal for clips to hold down wiring. bolts and screws are usually in stupid places, often only a couple inches from somewhere that would be MUCH easier to access and still hold things together the same.
Why??
This is my second mid-00's altima heater core, and at least I only broke 1 piece of horribly fragile plastic on this one, and this one ONLY took about eight hours all told. lol

Got my tax bill today. I am officially down ~8.4 2013$ challenge cars, on top of a large number of them already from throughout the year.

So much for my R8 deposit that I have been saving up on the side .

"You own a Saab, so you must be able to ___" <--- insert whatever kind of repair needs to be done, automotive or otherwise, that I do not actually know how to do.

From ceiling fans, to sirens in Subarus, to todays project that is only going to end up broken - dissecting an in-dash CD changer to extract the jammed CD's. Wonder how much a headunit for an '07 Saab 9-3 costs?

I'm perfectly happy to try any of these, and usually get them done, I'm just bothered by the fact that I'm supposed to be able to do them only because my name is on the title of a Saab 9000

Parts show up for Customer X...

Me: Lets push X's explorer in...Where are they keys? they are not on the board.

Sounds of shuffling feet and searched pockets.

Service writer: Oh poo, I gave her the keys yesterday to get some stuff out of her vehicle. I bet she just put them in her purse. I'll phone her.

Customer X: Yes. I put the keys in the center console and locked the doors so they'd be safe.

Me : Head explodes.
