Dear online retailer,

When I attempted to buy a set of (4) 15x10 wheels from your Ebay store, you immediately refunded my money. I received an email stating: "Hello, and thank you for your recent order with us. We do apologize but we do not have the purchased item(s) available at this time. Unfortunately the lead time for getting a replacement will be to lengthy and we do not want to keep our valuable customers waiting. We will be issuing a full refund to your account through the same method the payment was sent and canceling the order."

Now, when I go to your store website and see the same wheels IN STOCK for $9 more per wheel plus the $82 for shipping (the Ebay auction had free shipping), why is that? I'm not making a charitable donation. I have been looking for these specific wheels for awhile now and your auction had the best price by far. I sent you an email asking if these were really in stock or if your inventory management sucks. I think it would be fair for you to honor for eBay price. If not, I will take my money elsewhere.

Why is it possible to come into this country (probably legally, seeing as most of the people I'm talking about are in real jobs that can't be done under the table) after living in a country with probably the most dangerous roads in the world, and you are able to get a drivers license without being told that you have to go at least 45 MPH on the highway? You are going to cause a massive pileup. Hit the skinny pedal to the right of the brake, and go with the flow. If you can't do that, stay off the highway.

China. Peru, Vietnam?

No, no, no. Hint: Top Gear did a special on it.

Multiple vBulletin updates that broke the email notifications system in place.... I am now having to sort through a trickle of updates, that I already read WEEKS ago on the board in question. Still a month behind on those updated threads...

Wow, first one nailed it.

I don't understand why so many people around here drive under the speed limit.

Lots of times I'll be flying past cars on the highway, figure I'm speeding, look down at the speed - nope, I'm doing 90 kmh in a 90 zone!

Dry roads, daytime, clear visibility... why do 60? On a freaking highway?!

I just don't want to be at work today. I have too many projects most of which are really just a waste of time and energy and on top of that we have a manufacturing engineer who has now decided we drawings that show our stuff being putting into shipping bags which might not be a big deal if we had more then 3 mechanical engineers (one of which is a temp position and is has prefected the art of looking like they are doing something and instead just going as slowly as possible and the other is about to retire and will only use Microstation (which we are moving away from) so guess what your E36 M3 out of luck until my boss tells me otherwise. And then I have another guy who tries like hell to be my boss and is constantly bugging me about projects he wants me to do and then gives upper management a time line without telling me. I mean we are a growing company that was basically a garage shop and there are growing pains but I swear this place is becoming more of a cluster berkeley not less.

Because they don't go any faster than 45mph. They essentially squirt around at 20-30mph. So anything faster is terrifying to them.

berkeley. Rebooted my desktop because the tablet kept showing up as blank when I tried to plug it in to transfer autocross photos, and the main monitor (of 2) stayed black with flashing blue power light.

I kept mashing buttons and once-twice got the Acer logo but went back to black w/ flashing light. Other monitor was fine. These things really only last 5 years? Guess I'm stopping at Best Buy/Microcenter after work.

Could be the video card or it's driver may need an update. Did this happen after a Windows update was installed (I am assuming that you are running Windows).

Windows XP, no changes for quite some time. Onboard video that supports two video out's, one VGA one DVI if I remember. Pretty sure it's the monitor. Guess I get to upgrade to LED.

I sure am tired of dealing with people who can't follow an established procedure. Seems like my entire day is filled with telling people that I know are aware they are not doing something correctly to do it correctly. But wouldn't it be easier to do it correctly in the first place? No one else seems to think so.

damn detailers still working directly behind my bay, making it impossible to pull anythign bigger than a murano in.
damn office furniture still crowding me in because it's parked in the bay beside me. I'm gonna give this E36 M3 a week and pack it up and go somewhere else. can't make a living if I have to get someone to move everytime I have to pull in or out of my only bay.

My solution; put all the office furniture in a pile away from the shop and set fire to it. Nobody will berkeley with you after that.

Seriously. Its pretty obvious you will have to deal with it (maybe not set fire to it, but that would be awesome) if you want to get any work done.

I would ask that it get removed, set a date by which you'd like it removed and state that if it isn't then they'll have to pay you flat rate until it is. If that date comes and goes, start adding up the time and write them an invoice once it is removed.

They are supposed to provide you a bay to work in, they haven't done so and you are unable to work effectively because of it.

Went to drive to work this morning only to find my passenger side mirror folded in. I hate having to park outside and this is why. Seriously, can't you leave other people's cars alone?

*there's a small chance this was done to keep something from hitting my car. But I highly doubt it.

I spent abotu an hour last week moving it all over to the bay beside mine, so it's no longer in my bay, it just takes up the entire adjacent bay, so it's a pita to work. My boss has been gone for training, and the furniture is supposed to be sold. was supposed to be gone friday. If it's still there when we move into the new place I'm going to start taking tables and filing cabinets.
If I'm even still here, that is.

The detailers were supposed to be removed by the time I started flat rate (three weeks ago now) because it was one of the first questions I asked when I was told where I'd be working. Something that hopefully my boss will be able to finalize when he gets back tomorrow.

I'm limited as to what I can work on (almost no internal stuff, no major work (even though that's what I was doing the last 6 months as an hourly person), so no gravy used car's and pdi's. Basically all I can do is oil/tires/batteries/filters/belts. So I'm already being berkeleyed in that, so I have to pull in 15+ cars a day just to make straight time.
They just hired another tech even though we are slow, my coworker is coming from vacation next thursday to do the same job I do, and I don't think this E36 M3 is going to work out. I guess we'll be sharing a bay, sharing the pitiful amount of work that comes through the quick lube dept, and starving.
Trying to get on with a very well known performance company near by

I was coming down my road like always (slower actually only about 50) after work in my 93 Z71 4wd

I topped a blind hill and my neighbor (we all live about a mile apart) had his truck backed into the ditch loading a lawnmower with his extra cab covering both lanes... I locked it up realized there was no way I would stop in time, let off the brakes enough to head into the ditch (3 ft deep) and suddenly my truck stopped. By the grace of God. I was already aiming for the field beyond the ditch and the barbed wire fence.

As fast as I was going and as much gravel as my right tires were sliding in I can't believe the truck shut down in time.

He was polite about it and I flagged traffic till he got done. I may buy him some ramps next Christmas.
