Just got forwarded an offer on a fully rally MR2, with 1-2 parts cars, log book, parts, accessories, etc. All for $5k.

I spent $2k on mine Dec 2011, and have put at LEAST 2-3k into it trying to get it not even close to this berkeleying car. Where were you about a year ago??

berkeleying berkeley.

Dear World's Longest Train (Loc: N. Davidson St in Charlotte, 1 minute into my new commute):

Y U GO SO berkeleyING SLOW? U LIKE 3 MILES LONG?

also:

If you don't know how to use an ATM, or don't have you E36 M3 ready, then don't use the ATM. Especially not just after 5pm, when EVERYBODY in the entire city is driving home.

Sat behind one car; they were pulled up to the ATM, but they weren't doing anything. a few minutes later someone got out of the car. fiddled around, got back in the car. got back out. This went on for twenty minutes. I changed lanes after a couple minutes of it, though.
Once I changed lanes, I got behind a volvo with a kid and I assume his girlfriend in it. Kid is just chillin at the atm, not doing much. about a minute later he gets his card out and puts it in. A few minutes after that he pressed some buttons. a few minutes after that he pressed some more buttons. This went on for ten minutes.
It should take one minute to do ANYTHING at an ATM. People have E36 M3 to do, please try to be considerate of that fact and move it along when there are people waiting behind you.

Today included an exciting step forward in my garage project: The electrical inspector came and did the inspection I set up yesterday for today, and the garage passed!

Now, two weeks ago I'd scheduled an inspection and they gave me a few things to fix. However, I'd have thought that this would show as "activity" and reset the six month countdown to permit expiration. If not, surely yesterday's scheduling or today's approval would have been activity. And yet when I called the automated system to schedule the one other inspection for before drywall, my permit came up as expired

I'm awaiting a call back from the "support staff". They've been helpful before, and unexpired us on a previous go-round when we genuinely had overshot our six months. I expect this will turn out fine; I'd just hoped to get the other inspection done tomorrow so I could dance a little jig of so-darn-close-to-having-a-shop and try to get excited about drywall...

Dear customer, don't call at 4:59 and expect an order to be delivered to you the next morning without shelling out some $$$$$ for it.

Dear operations person, if I put a hot order in your inbox with all of the required "do ASAP" stuff on it, it means do it ASAP. I shouldn't have to do your job of bringing the order to the warehouse and shipping.

Dear warehouse, a "do ASAP" order that gets brought to you by hand, needs to be DONE ASAP!!!

Dear shipping, why the eff is our "third run" of the day leaving at 9 flipping AM?!? We've been open less than an hour!

Dear marketing people, stop putting "specialists in JIT stocking and manufacturing as well as next day shipping!" when we don't actually do any of those things.

Dear production, 96" means 96". The customer will send back a 100" long piece every berking time.

Dear curb, berk you!!!

Dear self, that last one was your fault, enjoy your scuffed wheel.

well, after a wonderful 10 hour day, I have turned...4.1 hours.
There are too many techs, not enough work, nobody would buy anything, and none of the issues with my work space have been resolved.
The parking lot is still a ridiculous mess (has been since I came there 1.5 years ago) and it only gets worse. Nothing is going to be done about it either.

ISO a new employer who can actually get E36 M3 done to better our working environment.

I've spent the past 4 hours fighting with a plastic hose barb that broke off flush in the rearmost part of my 5.7 TBI intake.

Removed air from 33in tires to save a few inches.

Ease outs did nothing. A torch had no effect whatsoever. I did not research online soon enough to find the ground down hacksaw blade trick.

My stepdad helped me do what is said to be impossible. We broke the fitting with a sharpened 14in screwdriver. Vaccumed the pieces then tapped it with the intake fully assembled.

We both got hungry. We are putting it together with some spare metal fittings after dinner.

I just want to punch that engineer in the face. The friend I borrowed the tap from had the same issue on a 2005 chevy! Haha.

End rant. Not really a rant just complaint a bit. At least we put off my engine rebuild for a while. I was concerned it was going to be the intake gasket.

Please do not drag me out of my place to go hang a video wall in gale force winds, let me unload the truck, move all the boxes into position, only to decide it is too windy for it to be safe, so I can load the truck back up so we can do it again tomorrow.

Heater hose fitting? They break out pretty easy after you have done a million or so. Hope you bought the steel replacement one from GM.

In reply to Streetwiseguy:

It broke off flush In the intake. As far as breaking one out easy I honestly don't believe the position of of this one would make it easy no matter how many you did. (93 tbi) I'm not buying a replacement fitting. I cleaned the threads with a tap and dug through the shop until I found a barbed nipple and some 3/4 heater hose. I could do another one and I'm sure I will its just such a cheap ridiculous design. I'm going to rebuild the engine this fall and need my truck for work.

Edit: went to local garage for lawn mower battery. Mentioned my troubles. They had the replacement for 9.50 in steel. I bought it.

What exactly is the incentive for me doing all these Occupant Sensor recalls on the 13 altimas? All the cars are at our auxilliary lot (20 minutes away), they are kind of a pain in the ass, and they take half an hour to forty-five minutes to do. Oh, and they only pay .70
that's forty-two minutes, with a total invested time of an hour and ten to an hour and twenty-five minutes. Why would I do that when I could stay and do an oil change, rotate, and air filter and get paid the same, for something that, altogether, takes me twenty minutes to do.

I did set a world record on one of them today, though: 18 minutes from pulling it in to pulling it out, parts returned, stamped, clocked in and out, computer stuff done, everything. lol
I don't wanna hustle like that everytime just to make .70 though=/
