When I upgraded to 14.6 on my iPhone 12 a couple of my Facebook ad blockers didn't transfer and now on my phone literally every third post is an ad.

Anyone have an ad blocker that works for FB?  I have tried Norton, AdBlock, Ad Blocker, Adblock Plus and BlockBear.

I get my FB through my browser and do not use the app because the app is even more intrusive.

I don't use FB, but maybe try Magic Lasso? I've been using it for general iOS/MacOS ad-blocking for a little over a year and have been sufficiently impressed with how well it works to pay the sub. YMMV.

Thanx CLH, but that is for computer only.  I need it for the phone only.  For some reason I don't have the same problem on the computer, it's just on the phone.

It's way beyond necessary or reasonable.

If browser only, try out Brave browser. It will block all ads, not just FB, at the network level.

Uh, check the iOS App Store. Magic Lasso does iOS too. That's why I suggested it.

I use Firefox with ublock origin on my phone and PCs, so I know that doesn't help much unless they have an iOS version...  But I also use a pi hole for my network and I've used NextDNS for the equivalent service on the go.

Maybe see how that works for an iphone?

I opened the link from my computer and it didn't show and ios version so I opened it from my phone and voila there was a version - but it didn't work.

Ah bummer. I hoped that would do it for you. It was worth a shot...

Hmmm it does exist outside of the apple store and it tells me I get it thru GitHub.  I made an account but I still don't find a way to download it.  Unfortunately it says it can't be used on newer versions of Firefox.  Another one down.

And were you able to find it outside of GitHub?

Setup a Pi-hole at home and just grit your teeth when you're away from home?

Honestly, with the latest iOS you can curtail a lot of Facebook's tracking nonsense the first time you open the app.  Combined with a pi-hole setup you can calm quite a bit of that with a few tweaks.

The 7 blockers are having some sort of effect.  I go whole hours with no repetitive ads and then suddenly they are back.

Stefan tell me how to take care of FB's tracking nonsense in the new ios.  I've turned on everything I can  find and it's stopping me from using FB and I use it for business a lot

The first time you start the updated app, it will ask you if you want the app to track you.  Click no.  Done.
