I suffered through the whole thing, hoping in vain for a payoff at the end - but alas, he apparently survived to ride like an asshat another day.
He passes what appears to be a motorcycle cop at about the 3.5 minute mark.
I didn't watch the whole ting, but like Bludroptop I hope, just hoped he'd eat it. But alas, no such luck.....on that day.
must be the phase of the moon or something, i had an asshat in traffic today lane splitting down westheimer (4 lanes each way with retail/apts everywhere. real smart
Wow, he even rides like an shiny happy person towards other bikes. What a douche. Hopefully when he greases himself someday he doesn't take somebody else with him.
my butthole was puckered the whole way thru... you could hear the wheel hop as he's trying to stop before the interesections, and the backend kicking out like that, i bet its just luck he didnt come off...
He even terrorizes pedestrians at every opportunity. He's going to end up in many, many little pieces.

hard to get your head around how crazy this is
Yeah I was surprised he was locking up the tires approaching the intersections. Seems like he was at the edge of control.
I guess he ran the redlights at all those intersections?
I used to split lanes on the scooter all the time on city streets in houston.
thats how I lost the mirrors.
My excuse was that it topped out at 30 mph and took about a mile to get there so I needed to preserve my momentum.
And really even now that I'm older and know better, I will sometimes approach a red light on my katana and pass the line of cars on the left or the right if there is space.
Yugo on rider's left at 3:19
Old-school Fiesta at 4:45
ACVW Bug at 4:58
Another ACVW Bug at 5:26
Another old-school Fiesta at 5:28
Another Yugo (parked) at 5:34
and is that a RWD corolla on the right at 5:36?

THAT was what I was waiting for! I was wondering just how many posts it would take before some GRM dork (or half or mega or whatever) would start picking out cars from the crowd
Sweeeeeet!
And like someone else said, my butt was puckering the whole way through as well.
I have to admit, it is really fun threading the needle in between the mass of 90k pedestrians after football games here. At least I'm going 3-5 miles an hour instead of 30-50, right?
While watching that video, I saw this on the side. Guy going 240 mpg on the autobahn on a Honda cbr: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9DS-PGSWEUs&feature=fvw
Something tells me he's not your average squid. He has pretty commanding control of that motorcycle. Still a douche, but clearly also a skilled rider.
I give more credit to the motard guys who hit stair gap and loading docks and still do wheelies in traffic. If your gonna be stupid...be more stupid about it.

Thats pretty good-the volt only gets 230mpg.

The speedo shows 300 km/h, which is about 186 mph.

That is for safety. It's too easy to get rear ended by a txt-msging driver while sitting at the back of a line. I do the same thing.
I also lane split in stopped traffic, but I pretty much obey traffic signals and speed limits (+10mph for motorcycles, right?).
so my question is: Why do we call these guys "squids"?
And yes.. he will be dead soon. I hope he takes nobody with him
My favorite reasoning is that squids turn slowly, than take off in a straight line very quickly. Just to do it all over again.
Check out the tires on a squids bike, they usually have the chicken strips to prove it.
Those are typical non-squid, the guys around here have about 2" unused on the right side from cruising the block counter-clockwise all night.

Stupdi quick underdressed imminently dead 's
I don't care when motorcyclists ride in a manner that cagers consider "reckless." If the rider is within their skill level, generally, motorcyclists don't pose that big a threat to motor vehicle safety. They always lose every territorial dispute with even a geo metro.
In the case of this video though, the guy is foolishly putting himself in circumstances that have nothing to do with his skill level and more to do with luck and chance. If one of the people on the curb that he zooms 3" away from were to open their door (not expecting a bike traveling 50 mph over the speed limit to be riding the white line), they would both be dead.
I'm not saying I'm passing judgment on him, because I did stupid hooligan things for a while, but I am saying that he needs to recognize the difference between taking advantage of speed and manueaverability, and placing himself on the roulette wheel of "I hope that doesn't happen."
