Mid-November and it's been into the low 20's already. Looks like another brutally cold winter on the way. I'm thinking I need to run a few tankfuls of gas through the dually this week. You know, try to do my part.

They're calling for 3-5 inches of snow tonight. And sub-zero windchill-adjusted temps later in the week. This is February weather, not November!
last Mon Tue and Wed we saw near 70° daytime highs … tomorrow night 17° and Tue high of 27° … ugh
edit: make tonights prediction to be 13°
BTW, its no longer called global warming - its global climate change. It can go either way - the extremes get more extreme.
This was last week and we got 6" more today. A little early compared to what we are used to but not really that out of the norm:

I hate cold weather, but I think I'd take snow over the weather I've seen in Seattle. So... no, you aren't.

It's not all bad. The summers here are the best I've ever experienced, hands down. 75 sunny, long days, warm sunshine, no humidity. I personally think the Gray the rest of the year is just a karma balance for the amazing summers.
Anywyas, I miss sitting on the couch with my family in front a fire while the snow comes down...
Arizona may be insanely hot in the summer but from now until May it is awesome.
The next week the highs are between 68-75 and lows in the 40s. It gets a little chillier in late January and February though.
Gonna go sit in my hottub outside in freezing temperatures now.
I think there's a Guinness with my name on it around here somewhere.
Enjoy your snow..

Just remember. You don't have to shovel rain.

That looks like fun!
The wife has an '05 Outback and I have a beater Impreza, bring on the snow!!!
I was debating on if I should mow the grass yesterday. Snow it wonderful stuff as long as it's all melted by 2:00pm

Call me a cynic, but to me that sounds a lot like backpedalling on the part of the fearmongers

Nah, they just changed it so they could continue swindling money for "research" without fear of the gravy train stopping.
In my area, people who have lived their whole life outside of cities haven't been surprised by any of this. The signs were clear back in early September.

That's the sad part, these scientists have managed to get paid for life for something that is going to happen anyways.

It is!
It was a lot more fun when I had my WRX. A minute after I took the picture, a guy in a Subie went by drifted around the corner and continued on. I really missed my WRX at that moment.
I love winter - all the nay-sayers can take a hike. Skiing, winter rallies, snowmobiling, ice fishing - variety is the spice of life.
Climate scientists have now joined economists and meteorologists as having jobs that allow you to be totally wrong but where you can go back and explain how all your “wrongness” supports your initial prediction.

Precisely, its a no win discussion until you can fire them all.....but they probably have tenure.
