Most GRM owners of a car

There is a car in the classified section that had two prior GRM owners and possibly now the third. I wonder what the record is for number of board members passing the same car around.

Is it a diesel Miata? Is it a flared Yugo?

I have owned both the diesel Miata, AND the flared Yugo.

I also own the Europa that has been passed around.

I win!

The flared Yugo is only 3 GRM owners, and 2 of them are the same guy (JThw8). But I gathered parts that are now with it that came from 4 or 5 different GRMers.

I think the diesel Miata is up to 4, and is up for sale again.

I'm not sure about the Europa. I' m pretty sure it is 5, but it is also now wearing parts that came from 4 other GRMer's (and rode in Lemons and Chumpcar). That might make it 8 or 9, depending on how you are counting.

I am the 3rd GRM owner of my 323 GTX.

My Lexus has passed through 3 GRMers.

My SVX racer went through 2, and so did my SVX street driver.

I had a 2nd Yugo that went through 3 GRMers.

My (non-diesel) Miata went through 4 GRMers.

My Cadillac SLS (the Ratty Caddy) went through 3 GRMers.

I had an X1/9 that had 3 GRM owners.

I'm sure I'm forgetting a few. We are a pretty inbred bunch. We swap car projects like some folks swap trampy girlfriends.

The 328is in the Classifieds has had two GRM owners (and will hopefully land in the garage of another), and my former '92 Mustang SSP Notch had two GRM owners before I sold it to a non GRM person (gasp!).

The e21 is up to 3 at least(idk where mark got it from) and the current owner lurks on here.

The diesel miata is possibly going to a 5th GRM'r(even if he is new here). At least with the list of MB diesel projects he rattled off and we've discussed via email it will likely be finished by this one. My integra hopefully will go to someone in the family when I pass it on and that will make a 4th for it.

There are some discussions in the works for the Yugo to go to its 3rd(4th) owner who is a GRMer, we'll see what happens ;)

It really is kinda like passing around a trampy girlfriend!

Only 1 of mine has made it to the $20XX Challenge under more than one owner...

...and it ain't the Yugo!

I bought this '87 Suburban diesel from 'dabird' on here, and eventually sold it to 'Cooter'. I'm glad it has stayed in the family.

I bought some Miata mirrors from someone on here, and helped nocones lift the Subaru 360 shell onto his HF trailer. It was just a little too bulky to lift by himself.
