Mama picked this up at Wally World today for a break from Sponge Bob and Sesame Street. berkeleyin brilliant. We've watched the first two episodes, and now have baby saying "Muhnah-Muhnah." God bless you Jim Henson.

I'll have to look for that. We've dodged the Sponge Bob bullet, but I'm getting pretty tired of the Disney Channel.

It's the little things that get you through it. Before I dragged home (the severely edited, poorly translated version of) Sailor Moon, the girl had been watching Barney for two weeks straight.
Original Manamana from Sesame St., Season One (1969):

"COME INSIDE IT'S FUN INSIDE!" Yeah, I got burned out on that E36 M3 a long time ago. There are a few things that will never happen in this house. Barney, Dorka, and her lanscaper/construction cleanup cousin are on that list.
This E36 M3 had me on the damned floor:

Wife tried that Barney E36 M3 on my ps3 for netflix a few days ago. I don't advocate spousal abuse, but she damn near got a sammich hucked at her.
It's season 4, but Dizzy doing "Swing Low, Sweet Cadillac" is about as cool as it gets. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lK8Cp3azW-I
The Alice Cooper episode is pretty damn epic, too.

Both are DAMN edgy, IMHO.

Original-- definitely NOT Swedish porn.

My brother and I grew up on the Muppet Show--back when it was new, too. Speaking of Muppets and related, I always get a kick out of this: http://youtu.be/21OH0wlkfbc
My kids (age 5 and 7) just got a Playmobil "Elvis" and "Zorro."
Neither of the boys knew who Zorro was, so we've been watching an episode a day now, of the original 1957 series.
They are totally into it! Awesome stuff!
Elvis, however, not so much....
My Dad didn't usually watch the Muppets except for this night

Substance abuse at the Henson Studios confirmed:

No way could you come up with that dead sober.

Lots of hallucinogens involved in the creation of that sketch.
I'll just leave this here. May or may not be work safe... Will depend on how many overly sensitive types you work with.

Another example of the questionable sobriety of people making a kids show:
You're always welcome at our house
Was the Muppet Show ever syndicated? I don't remember ever seeing it after it went off the air (of course, I've never had cable/satellite/etc).
You'll need to log in to post.
