I have a six pack. Its behind a mini-keg. Probably brought on by the copious amounts of beer that we drink, probably because my girlfriends dad has been supplying us with about 6 cases a month since she turned 21.

That's great, FT! 20 lbs in six weeks is some serious weight loss. What technique are you using?

"Eat Less, Move More"

Think I'll write a book titled that. Might make millions.

Zero point soups that taste good

This alone is probably the #1 thing food wise that's working. They taste good, easily changed (like use a beef broth base), even I can make it, and I can eat a lot of it.

The family membership at the Y my wife signed us of for would be #2. I go three times a week. Half hour on some eleptical thingie, and then an hour using all the weight machines (I lift a lot of elephants). I'd stagger my way home at first, but now it's getting comfortable and routine.

It did start with a couple of us at work deciding to use the weight watchers system at the begining of the year. I even went and bought the Weight Watchers cook book. We've been eating veggies, no more McDonalds, etc. A whole lot of learning about how I'd sabatoged myself many times in the past (I somehow didn't know Ramin Noodles were fat bombs and such).

I've tried to lose weight before, sometimes with a bit of success. But this time, it's working. Working real well.

You might be on to something there... eat less... move... more ....

About 5yrs ago I went to the Dr for a physical and they mentioned that my pressure was high and I had an extraordinary level of cheese in my circulatory system for a man in his late 30s. They really wanted to sell me purple pills but I started not eating and jogging instead (I hate taking things I don't need). 120/70, cholesterol is under 100 and my knees hurt a lot less at 180 then they did at 210. Ran my 1st 1/2 marathon last spring... going for the whole shebang this year.

Congrats on the weight loss & 6 pack. I was never able to maintain one for more than about a month. I hate weights.

I am waiting for spring to get back on my bicycle.. the path here still has a foot of snow on it.. so it has been a case of eating even less than usual

I will not congratulate you. Instead I will curse you.

Even the good Dr is aware of one of the most basic laws of matter.

You cannot destroy it, simple change its form and move it around (I am, of course, paraphrasing)

So the 20 lbs that you lost has to go somewhere. Guess where Spanky?

Since moving back to OK I have put on 20 lbs.

I blame you

More like a speed hump here. That's ok the challenger WILL be at least 50 lbs lighter come challenge time. Hoping more like 100lbs. 100lbs = 1/10 in the quarter right?

As a former fatty, lost 40 in the last 3 years. Just pace yourself and don't get discourage, the rate of weight loss will slow as you reach your optimal weight.

Weightloss is like tuning an engine, all about input and optimizing.

Congrats

I have been doing the same thing. Eat less do more. Works every time. Also watching what you eat.

I went from about 260 to 200lbs in a bit longer then one summer by walking a few mile every night, and watching what i ate and how much i ate. This was junior year in high school just a few years ago (3-4 yrs) Its not that i was fat and lazy, haha far from it just i have a weakness for food.

Now, since the new year, i have been doing 100 pushups a day and 120 situps a day and getting ready to do more. Im eating better, and will start walking/ runing when the weather breaks. I feel so so much better, and ever though i have always been built, now im more toned and i like it.

Just my own success story i guess.
The hardest part is starting.

Lost 15 pounds since the new year myself. Trying to get into summer cycling shape doing 3-4 hours a week on the trainer, killing about 1k calories per hour. I'd like to be doing 6-7 per week but time mangement is a problem. I might even start watching what I eat :)

Actually I have lost some weight. The beginning of Dec. I was 276#. The scale this morning put me at 261. My trick is stress and worry. Seems to work well. Oh yeah, I quit the super sizing.
