I never said that. Luckily for me, my value isn't based on what you judge either (again, the irony of these statements coming from you is hilarious).

KatieSuddard wrote: In reply to HiTempguy: According to the english language, you cannot objectify an object. It is already an object.

That's the joke (in regards to humans, which are objects and people getting pissy about them being "objectified", unless you've moved past that into ethereal form, in which case please share your experiences with us!)

Anyways, as per Marjorie's wishes, I'll butt ( ) out

there was nothing "all that bad" about the original thread … that said, and Margie said it … it was pretty easy to see that it COULD take a turn at any moment … she just did what the rest of us mods would have had to do somewhere down the road

so now we have this thread to whine about it … time to let it go folks

A little objectification is good for my ego. I haven't been whistled at since I stumbled into a gaggle of old drunk ladies at a church picnic still wearing my bike shorts and number tag from the "Race for the Cure" a few years back. Old broads are a filthy bunch. I'm pretty sure they were serious too. They tried to get me drunk. My virtue was in peril.

Oh, yes! I'm quite certain you were lucky to escape with your virtue intact!

BTDT. Only instead of old drunk women it was a field trip outing for the local "wayward and misbehaved girls". I've never felt so objectified (I think it was the cycling shorts).

Does that object have the ass of a professional figure skater?

Sir Lancelot: [Sir Galahad the Chaste is being seduced by an entire castle full of young women] We were in the nick of time. You were in great peril.

Sir Galahad: I don't think I was.

Sir Lancelot: Yes, you were. You were in terrible peril.

Sir Galahad: Look, let me go back in there and face the peril.

Sir Lancelot: No, it's too perilous.

Sir Galahad: Look, it's my duty as a knight to sample as much peril as I can.

Sir Lancelot: No, we've got to find the Holy Grail. Come on.

Sir Galahad: Oh, let me have just a little bit of peril?

Sir Lancelot: No. It's unhealthy.

Sir Galahad: I bet you're gay.

Sir Lancelot: Am not.

The real causes of these "weird self-image issues" would be an interesting discussion, but I'm afraid that this board is not capable of that at this time.
