Neither of us are Italian or from the tri-state area.
Keep the ideas rolling.
My daughter's name is Shelby. I know you said that's your wife's name, so I can understand not wanting to repeat. Beautiful name though. And we didn't name her after 'ol Carrol Shelby, we just liked the name.
How about Renee? I also like Christine.
Just remember that whatever you pick, she'll have to live with her her entire life. So I tend to shy away from the really trendy or bizarre names (or strange spellings). Not that you have to pick the most common name out there, but you don't want to pick something that everyone will raise an eyebrow at wherever she goes.
My first daughter is named Tessa Grace. Her name is derived from Tesla, Nikola Tesla, not the car, not the band. Although, that is also where the car and the band derived the name.

Nah it'll seem like a perfectly decent and creative name to the car-ignorant public, but people who know about cars will know that one of her parents is a hardcore car nut
I think Camber is just different enough to be 'hip', but not in a douchey/outlandish way. I imagine it being confused with 'Amber' a lot, though.
I ended up with two boys, but if I had a daughter her name would have been Carly (get it?). Vicky, Sarah, and Lisa were high on the list also.
I also agree to stick with the traditional names with the traditional spellings. Our kids are not items of amusement, they are people.

I'm not. But maybe that's because she's my rotten sister.

Same here. Two boys with traditional names, and correct spelling. I race with a guy who's son is Jassin, and the guy is a teacher.
Moonbeam Dweezil ?!
When my youngest came along we needed a name begining with 'A' as we were already Adrian (me), Amy (SWMBO) and Alexandra. If she had been a boy it had to be Adam (first boy and A). But we were having a tough time with a girls name. One day on the way home I came up with Alese, which is what we used and have zero regret's. One of her closest friends though it Elise which makes calling one of them difficult, but both of them easy :)

And her unfortunate red-neck cousin, Toe-In.
(Actually, I think it's kind of a pretty name.)
I do have a cousin whose baby daddy wanted her daughter's middle name to be Caprice. Cousin is a little bit whiskey tango, but she put her foot down on that one.

AAAgghh, after the La-a post I read Toe-in as Toedashin and didn't get it at first. Stupid people are making me stupid!!!!
"Lola Chaparral"
When SWMBO was pregnant we didn't know if we were having a boy or a girl. This was my choice for a girl name but my wife didn't like it near as much as I did. Really she was pretty heavily medicated so, had my son been a girl, I probably could have gotten away with it.
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, GIVE YOUR CHILD A NORMAL NAME.
It has been proven, IN MULTIPLE STUDIES, that this will improve their lives/success throughout it. Not only that, but you don't come off as an asshat moron of a parent either.

We went with Steven and Bradley. Names that endure the test of time, although I was surprised how many people spell Steven's name wrong when it's spelled exactly how it sounds.
SWMBO and I went through this with little J. We wanted something "normal", but clever. The short list:
Corsa got really close as my great grandmother's name was Cora, but ultimately we didn't go with any of them.
Here's some to add to Jav's list above:
I love Holley too, but my sister's name is Hollie. An issue we've been having with trying to decide a name is that I have an extremely large family and a lot of names have already been taken. 14 aunts and uncles, 30 something cousins. Most of which have a least 1 girl already, so normal names that last the test of time are sparse when it comes to our selection. My wife is all about not having the same name. That's why I'm looking for something out of the norm, but not trendy or spelled La-a, etc.
Kelly and Claire are her main choices right now. Emma and Eleanor are mine.
