08E60-SLN-100 - 2007-2008 Honda Fit - Keyless Entry attachment
My wife really wants me to add keyless to her 2008 Fit. Unfortunately the Honda warehouse lists it (part number above) as discontinued and I can't find it through the usual sources. Can any sleuths here help me out? I'd appreciate it, for her birthday present.

Unfortunately Discontinued means just that. I just ran them on nationwide search (just in case) and it's true. No dealer nor warehouse has that part in stock anymore and Honda is no longer manufacturing it. When the site shows this: http://www.hondaacuraonline.com/oem-part/oem-honda/keyless-entry-w-attachment/08e60-sln-100?search_str=08E60-SLN-100 it's been discontinued for a while. Unfortunately accessories typically disappear fast.
Unless you can find one used or on eBay somewhere, you're SOL.
EDIT: I CAN vouch for this place.... I'm here every day. lol

The problem there is these were not factory installed, but dealer installed accessories (like mud guards, spoiler etc). So A.) finding one in a junkyard is going to be hard because of the age and 2.) finding one in the junkyard with one of the dealer installed kits is going to make a needle in a haystack look easy.
Does the aftermarket still make keyless entry, or only alarms?

Sorry. I really hate how most OEM's handle their accessories. Most of them ditch them within 2 years of that model run. It's dumb, IMO. But then again, they didn't ask me for my opinion.

Chrysler kills off the "kit" accessories when a body is "done" or redesigned. But if you got DEEP pockets you can piecemeal the kit together from individual service parts.
Hyundai wholesales everything one year after a body style change. Suzuki discontinued everything the year it changes. Honda stops making them the year the body changes, but they have a lot of inventory to last a little while. once that inventory dries up, they are done.
That makes me think I need to order the armrest for 2012 Fit soon...

Now I know where to order parts for the ess poo kay. Had I known this a few months ago I would have got the spenshun hardware from you. If I write GRM encrypted messages in the comments box of the order, will you see it?
