That could be expanded into Me Yadda Yadda. His short name would be Yadda but yadda yadda denotes that the spending has only just begun. Like buying a boat, the initial purchase price is the cheapest part of the equation. If you would rather have an MR2 you could name him Mr. Two and his nickname could be "the duece."

I like these suggestions. This was the direction I was heading with my original thought of "Dad's Exige". I heard names like Dad's Harley and Dad's Overtime.

We're very aware of the purchase price vs the ongoing cost as this isn't our first or only horse. I've got to find some cheaper hobbies.

Me too! This month it's a toss-up between sticky tires, or a horse show.

This is my new girl:

I feel your pain.

The difference between horses and racecars is when a racecar breaks you can wait until next season to fix it. You don't want to see some of my recent vet bills.

Yes, but when you shoot your racecar, it doesn't solve any of your problems.

So... you adopted a girl who could ride a horse. Good stuff.

LOL! Nope, this is a rescue racehorse. She was strung out on drugs and horribly lame when my sister got her a couple of years ago. I fell in love with her, and now she's mine. She's wonderfully kind and energetic, road-safe (I've even taken her up to a railroad crossing and watched the trains go by) but yelling and aggression freak her out.

I own an old Lotus. Shooting it may make me feel better.

Congrats on the new horse. Did you once tell me your daughter shows Trillium? I'm a jump judge at Dreamcrest this weekend, wish my horse was sound enough to bring out.

Yup she's in the Trillium circuit. Unfortunately we're in the central east division so we'll be at RCRA this weekend or else I'd make a point of saying Hi.

Our Paint has been off lame for over 3 months now so I know where you're coming from.

I did all the showing/jumping/foxhunting stuff when I was younger, so I'm just hoping to have fun with this horse. She's beautiful, but not 100% sound, so maybe a baby is in her future somewhere. Good luck at the show this weekend!

Colin Chapman would approve...adding bullet holes is just adding lightness.

How about naming the new horse Victor....after one of the great characters of literature....Victor was the Lone Ranger's nephew's horse and son of Silver.
