Watched a live one-man show from Rhett Miller of the Old 97's tonight on https://www.stageit.com/.

I'd never heard of the site before seeing an ad for this gig on FB. Just him, in his home office, next door to his garage. 100% pure Rhett, arm windmill and all. He performed the entire "Too Far to Care" album and I'm pretty sure I sang through most of it. Good thing there was no mic on my end.

I haven't looked through all their artists yet but it was really nice to just hear something LIVE. Video quality was meh but the audio was great.

Yes, love seeing these live performances.

A plug for my friend Jack--aka Jackie Stranger. He performed live this evening, and you can watch it again on his Facebook

Rhett is so much fun. He has been coming to town every 6 months or so and doing small, usually standing on top of a table solo shows at a local pub. He is amazingly talented, super funny and damn can he string lyrics together.

That windmill! There is a hip swing involved in it that makes it so awesome.

"Too far to care" is in my top ten albums.

In reply to Trent :

Mine too. Not a bad song on that album. I've seen the Old 97's multiple times, always a great show.

He is doing M/W/F shows on this site. Memory Mondays, Weird Wednesdays (cover songs) and Freaky Fridays (more covers I think). Next Monday he might do "Fight Songs". The best part are the stories about the songs, whats going on in his world, etc.
