0% affiliated, just think this is really innovative. Plenty of times I'm only lifting one corner of the car, this would work perfectly. Heck, I can see me using one jack stand, and this on the other side when lifting front or rear of the car.
Way easier to store than a jack stand, and sometimes it can be a challenge getting a jack stand under there while the jack is there. Wish I'd have invented it.

Clever. I still wouldn't get under that car.
Would use for extra safety on tasks like changing brake pads where I don't get fully under the car anyway.
Im more worried about the jack tipping over than lowering.
Kinda seems like it would get annoying more than help.

In reply to TJL: do you jack the car up on uneven surfaces? I don't even always chock a rear tire and never had a jack tip. Now, I have had jack stand tip a little when I'm lowering the other side onto it's jack stand (the already placed stand tips now and again, that's the one I'm talking about).

Its more a issue when working on the suspension or other things that require a lot of force and the vehicle can see side movement. I have not had one fall over, but I have seen situations where it could have been possible.
I use jackstands with my jack, or i use my Quickjack lift which i love.
