I personally can't wait to see these come out. I doubt I'll be first in line but after a year or two of sorting, I think it will be our next kid-hauler. 30 miles of all electric range, 500+ miles of combined range, and all you have to give up are second-row stow-n-go seats and the problematic ZF 9-speed transmission.
They've priced it at $42k before the incentives.

I am very intrigued by these and can't wait to drive one. (Past me would beat the crap out of current me for saying that about a hybrid minivan!)
I like that they are doing this... but $42K

I very much want, on the used market though, that's expensive. It's like double the Caravan AVP
Honestly the perfect vehicle for a plug in hybrid drivetrain, I'm actually surprised no other manufacturer has done this yet.
It's $35k after the current subsidies, and honestly lots of people are ponying up north of $40k for Hondas, Toyotas, and even Kias. You're right though - this van is screaming "buy off-lease" to me. Plug-in hybrid resale values have tended to drop like rocks.
According to C&D (sorry) this will only come in Premium and Platinum trims. I don't know where they got those trims as those aren't available on a current Pacifica. The Limited is $42k though so if the hybrid gear is less than a $5k add, you are in the money (and then some) on tax credits
