ok, so i had to get into the 21st century due to my new job. i wund up getting a new cell phone that does mobile e-mail since i will be on the road a lot. it also does apps. the operating system is android. i know that there were a bunch of apps made for us car guys. i had heartd of an accelerometer program that calculated cornering g-forces, 0-60 and 1/4 mile times, etc. also heard of an angle finder and level app. anyone have links to these, or others that would make my life easier or at least more enjoyable in the garage? like maybe a parts store app, or a fractional calculator app, etc?

thanks guys. im not comfortable with all this new technology yet. ive always been leery of too many gadgets, but if i have one, i want it to do what i need it to do.

thanks michael

Typically what I do is a google search for "best android [whatever] app."

That'll give you a few leads, then you can go snag whichever one from Market tickles your fancy.

One thing I will caution you on is to NOT use task-killers. People seem to think they're a good idea, but using them actually drains more battery than just letting things live in memory.

What I recommend instead is a program called "Watchdog". Watchdog alerts you to when programs are sucking down too many CPU cycles, which IS what kills your battery.
