A day later, I still say you should get your denial on record ASAP. Sent by your attorney, certified mail. Leave out the part about potential legal action if you prefer. But get your complete rejection of the accusations on written record right now.

I agree with Duke. You need to protect yourself for the future. I know you probably hope this is the last employer you'll have. I know you're super resourceful and will always land on your feet. But if you need to have a background check, and if that employer says you were terminated because of some sort of code of conduct breach, you could find it difficult to find employment. Hopefully that isn't the case, but in todays climate I'd be protecting my butt in every sense possible.
I’m surprised no one has asked the most important question: is your new/old company giving you time off for the Challenge?
For a minuet I wondered also, IF THAT PROJECT STARTS BEFORE THE CHALLENGE, NOT LIKELY, and next year with 4 month to completion, not likely.
While I completely understand and agree with your decision to just walk away, I really, really wish you would put up at least enough of a fight to call them out on it. I don't know if I could for myself, but I would hope that I could for any other guys who might work there in future. Now that someone thinks they can get away with this type of sexism, what is going to stop them from doing it again?
Even if you don't take it all the way, fighting back even a little will help the next guy establish it as a pattern even years down the road.

Even more, this is extremely damaging to the current women's movement going on. Any time that something like this happens, people will question victims more and more. Boy cries wolf and all. It damages the credibility of any claim of sexual assault, even though very few are false claims, that is the first thing people think about.
In reply to Duke :
I hear you.
ADEA gives 21 days review. I have discussed it with my attorney.
Tranquilo!
In reply to mtn :
I'm trying hard to not chase that rabbit, but it's really hard.
The movement is already in trouble. Not because of the validity or invalidity of claims, but because an environment already exists where companies are fearful of ramifications and accusations are not tested fairly. No one should be able to accuse anyone of anything that would lead to a dismissal without hearing both sides.
Ever.
Rant off.
noone wants to take these cases to court because they are then public record... sending them a letter will do no good, but might push them to pull out some crazy clause in your employment agreement that requires arbitration.
In reply to Fueled by Caffeine :
Right. Which is one reason I plan on passing.
I seriously doubt it would effect a future employment situation. Company policy says they release dates of employment, and answer the yes/no question, “Would he be eligible for rehire?”. The answer to that question is always no, because the company has a firm policy against ever rehiring someone who has left.
These are not public records, and the separation agreement protects me from disparaging comments as much as it protects them.
But I will see what my attorney says.
Removed because fishy.
In any case, I'm glad you were able to get your old job back. You certainly had spoken of it like you sorta missed that world. It's pretty unique to have a job you love that pays the bills and whom you have a good relationship with leadership.
Just. WOW.
I am incredibly POed that this sort of thing can happen, but I'm so glad things worked out for the better for you.
No one deserves to be treated this way, and it is appalling that a company can get away with this.
That fact that you can walk away without burning that company down speaks volumes of your character. I'm proud to say I know you.
In reply to Cooter :
Haha! Thank you for your vote of confidence, but I’m not sure I walked away.
I was escorted. By a police officer! Lol!!
In reply to SVreX :
I agree that no one should be able to say things that aren’t true. Especially if it results in future damage to another person.
Getting hired is hard enough if qualified. It shouldn’t be made worse by lies.
In reply to SVreX :
Yeah, probably would be difficult to strike a match while that was happening, let alone dousing the place with gasoline.
Sorry to hear that man! Work sucks, companies suck, people suck, glad to hear that you were able to land on your feet again.
I'm also thinking you should get some kind of a denial on record...at least that huge raise, in the words of Lego Batman, kinda makes it better!

General Comment: If you Sue a past employer.. You better stay at your current job or have your next job in pocket already. No one wants to hire someone who has sued a past employer.. win or not. You can search caselaw for free here.. https://scholar.google.com/

I agree, but having an employer saying you harrassed 4 females isn't a good recommendation either. Hopefully the agreement he signed says they will not make an such statement.
