4 pipe bombs recovered in SE Portland; police search for man, 43, considered armed, dangerous
Portland police are looking for a 43-year-old man after four pipe bombs were thrown from a car on Southeast Flavel Drive on Tuesday.
A bomb squad was activated at 4:41 p.m. after the driver of a two-door 2002 Honda Civic threw out four pipe bombs on Flavel near Southeast 45th Avenue, said Sgt. Pete Simpson, a Portland Police Bureau spokesman. Officers ended the pursuit.
Police have recovered the pipe bombs and searched the area. Residents have been asked to call 911 if they find suspicious items.
Police are searching for the suspected driver, Neal Allen Panschow, who also has an active arrest warrant from Tillamook County. Investigators believe Panschow has been driving the silver Honda with Oregon license plate 064 CPJ for the past few days and has led police on three pursuits in Clackamas and Multnomah counties.
Panschow is considered armed and dangerous. He is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall and 170 pounds.
Anyone who sees Panschow or the Honda is asked to call 911 immediately.

So, did the police start chasing him before he threw the pipe bombs, or after?
I'm betting before. I'm wondering what the initial stop was for.

He may just be a bomb enthusiast. I had a friend that built pipe bombs for fun from once in a while.
I'm impressed that three times he has eluded the police with a Civic.

How about more details on the Honda? DX, LX or EX...oir Si? Does it have the typical rust around the rear wheel openings? Aftermarket wheels? Altezza Taillights? Big wing? Fart Can Exhaust?
When they catch him maybe they will send him to one of these black facilities off shore for some good old fashioned rendition.

Three pursuits and they still can't catch him? He should give up the bomb making and get a job as a stuntman or maybe give the global rallycross circuit a shot.
