Aaron Lewis, front man of a rock band > Rascal Flatts, a country boy band.
It really is a great song, I just can't get behind RF. I hate them almost as much as Nickelback.
Almost.
Along with the first song mentioned in this thread, one of my favorites. Yes, I think he did it better.
Aaron Lewis is also head vocalist of Staind. I like him in Staind and Solo like with the song "Country Boy."
This is a re-post from this very thread but it deserves another chance - Pink knows how to do Led Zeppelin "good":

I'm on an acoustic kick.
Although this one isn't near as good as the original, it is an incredible cover.

Awesome cover, for sure. Perhaps less awesome, but funny in an ironic white-girls pop kinda way, is this one:

yeah it does actually....and kind of sounds like him a little......RIP Dave Williams, Drowning Pool dried up and lost all it's water when he died
They've had some okay songs, but it's just not the same. Sinner is still one of my favorite albums, it stays in my CD player for extended periods of time.
From the 60's to the 80's...
The Bangles cover of "Hazy Shade of Winter" (From the "Less Than Zero" soundtrack)...

Beats the crap out of the Simon and Garfunkel original.
And I like S&G.

Your opinion is wrong.
I hesitate to mention anything because my music history is very limited. Every time I open my mouth and say "you know, this is actually a remake. It was originally recorded by..." one of my music-expert buddies will say "yes, but you know he stole it from Sam Cooke who recorded an old Muddy Waters tune originally written by Clayton Bochephus who based it on a Negro spiritual..."
I made that up, but you get the idea. Some songs are a LOT older than you think.

Reminds me of the Dynamite Hack cover of "Boyz In The Hood"

In reply to Salanis:
Yes, I was trying to think of that. As much of a NWA fan as I am, I still like dynamite's more.
Take a song like All Along The Watchtower.
I know people who said "Bob Dylan is a no talent hack and sucks as music." who loved the song when Jimi did it. When it was pointed out that it was a cover of a Dylan song, they had to back track a little.
I think what they were really trying to say is: "I like loud electric guitars and don't care for other music." but since we were teenagers at the time, they couldn't articulate themselves well.

I usually like covers of Dylan songs better than the originals. He is a brilliant songwriter, much better than he is a musician or (especially) a singer.

I feel the same way about the velvet underground. Their music is lifeless to my ears, but I love hearing other bands cover it.
Back when REM was young and talented and put out great albums they did some awesome VU covers. There she goes, Pretty persuasion, sweet jane and pale blue eyes

Huge Deftones fan here... and also not a "typical" Deftones fan. Their music has always had far more intricate and experimental chord progressions and harmonies that is not typical of their genre. There is more depth musically than most would give them credit for.
