I found this yesterday and laughed my butt off for the bulk of the video.
I love old "new" car vids like this. Driving it up a hill is cool, but up a STREAM is awesome!

Next time you have to ford miles of stream in your Corvair, you'll know it's safe. Thanks GM marketing!
Wow, lots of very early Lime Rock footage there! It look like they even did a lot of the off road stuff and the stream fording there.
Great.
It is such a reminder of just how close the Corvair came to truly being great and a real "game changer." Instead, when you add up all the forces, it really set the US car business back with little to no innovation for the next 20 years.
During the Lime Rock Footage, watch the steering wheel as he goes through the corners... early 60's thin bias ply's + rear engine = crazy oversteer!
Driftin' 60's style yo!
yes, I noticed the corrections the driver needed to make going around the corners.
I also loved the comment about stability as the car spins a 180
Haha, excellent video. I liked the primitive crash testing. We tried to roll the Corvair, but it wouldn't! Not until the wheels were locked.
And here I was trying to find an old pathfinder or trooper when the whole time I should have been looking for a corvair to take wheeling. Whooda thunk it.
