Yeah I thought the same thing for a second, but I could tell the CGI on the Dalek didn't match the rest of the movie's CGI 
There may be no daleks in Star Was, but R2-D2 was in the new Star Trek.

everyone always forgets that Daleks are not robots or androids. There is a living creature inside it controlling it that cannot survive outside of it's armoured tank of a shell. Now there were plenty of Androids in the Dr. Who universe.. but the Daleks are not one of them
