So, found a bag of fireworks in the shop. Been there at LEAST a decade.
Safe to use? Or make them dissapear?

If they have been dry, probably safe. If not, then you might light them and have them go *pfft*
No real danger either way
Have a big bucket of water and a long pole on standby.
Basically, give the duds several minutes then use the pole to knock them into the water and leave them there overnight. Don't actually handle them for awhile.
All this. 10 years dry storage ain't nuthin and if they got wet they prolly aren't as lively as intended. We don't worry about old fireworks until we get back to the 60's or so when potassium chlorate was involved.
Thanks y'all. Explosives are something to be cautious about, just like firearms. Wanted to be safe, not sorry. Munchkin is actually who found them, and wants to send them today for the fourth.
I appreciate the help!
If you explode into a cloud of Duster-dust, can I have your cars?
I guess you would turn into a Michael-Angel-o
Exiting stage left.

This is my ghost necroposting.
Boo!
(Munchkin went to grandfather's today with the fireworks. The fourth is his holiday, and everything in the world he looks forward to all year got canceled. So, grandma had an idea...)
Ill find out tonight if they worked!

Wait...
So you are not gonna BE THERE when your kid tries to blow up your father with the decades old fireworks?
You'll need to log in to post.
