It was supposed to go down Saturday night, but weather kept that from happening.

That is a way serious look on Obama's face right there.

I wonder what is making Hillary gasp. I never in a million years thought she would show emotion of any sort.

Think of what the people in that room saw... its' not likely any of us common folk ever will, but that has to be one of the most intense things ever shown on a television screen.

Her player didn't have many hit points left and was facing a level 88 Rogue guarding the stairs.

No special effects, no CGI, just hard reality. CIA spooks and SEALS. I wonder what they look like at the commisary, if you can look at them and tell what they are.

Never thought I'd say this: Thank you Obama. Obviously there were countless others that get a big thanks as well, but that move took some big brass balls. Kudos. And thank God we've got the mother berkeleying NAVY SEALS! Sad that they'll probably never get individual recognition.

In related news, Mrs. poo and I had a bet on who would be the first to mix up Obama's name with "Osama." Krunty Couric FTMFW.

Now every time I piss in the Ocean, I can smile and think of osama.

Those SEALS will never pay for another beer for the rest of their lives. Word gets out about these things among the players. Joe Public will never know, but their peers will.

I've seen this posted before, and disagree with it.

Not because they don't deserve it- as they do and then some.

But IMHO, not many peers will even find out. My view of guys like SEALS- they are not much on the chest thumping- so few will ever know who did what- unless leaked. I could be wrong, though.

Other SEALS are likely to know who SEAL team 6 was though, aren't they?

SEALS probably know the members of ST6 but won't divulge their identities - ever. Their names are classified and for good reason. Besides,I suspect any candidate that even hints of wanting personal recognition would never make the cut.

Nah. A friend of my wife's got a call from Afghanistan yesterday morning from one of the strike team members. Even SEALs are proud to brag to their friends about something this big. I imagine time will tell who was there.

yea, i'm honestly impressed that this was (A) not leaked in the preceeding months, and (B) wasn't cancelled along the way by someone in the white house ala clinton 15 years ago.

Like I said

http://www.theatlanticwire.com/global/2011/05/was-pakistan-keeping-bin-laden-under-house-arrest/37280/

Update: In his first interview since the raid, CIA Director Leon Panetta tells Time that his agency chose not to involve Pakistan in the operation because "it was decided that any effort to work with the Pakistanis could jeopardize the mission. They might alert the targets." The distrust only adds fuel to the theory that the Pakistanis were sheltering bin Laden.

I want to see a picture, no, video, of the situation room when it was all over. I want to see all those old berkeleyers high fiving.

Well done. Seals did good, Pres did good, and intel (yes!) did good.

Wonder what Obama was thinking when Seth Meyers was making OBL jokes the night before at the correspondent's dinner.
