A couple of my kids have transitions glasses and they work great, not expensive, $60 for a pair. I thought I might try a pair as I go in and out of buildings all day and that requires two pairs of glasses if I don't want to get stuff in my eyes. I don't need corrective lenses.
Problem, my local cheap eyewear place (Walmart) tack on about $50 to the price if you're over 18, which is stupid and I'm not doing that.
I tried to find them on Zenni, and despite the head banner saying that there is a sale on photochromatic lenses, I can't figure out how to add them to any pair of glasses I try to order.
Any thoughts on my options here?

Do they make photo chromatic safety goggles? Like Grainger or something?

Ideally I could get a pair of regular looking glasses so I could use them for driving and at the beach and pretty much everything.

Oakley makes 'em. Maybe not for $60, though.

The $60 price for youths at Walmart may be subsidized. That could be hard to match on a quality lens.

Stupid question, as I'm only just got glasses in the last two years of my life, and still on my first pair. Is it as easy as calling the optometrist that examined me to get a copy of the prescription so I can order glasses off the web? Hadn't heard of Zenni, but I think it works for me....and I did see the photocromatic option on a set of glasses I chose on that site.

Nevermind, called my place, and they are emailing it over.

I just figured out the zenni thing. I have to put in a prescription of 0 instead of non prescription, and then I get all the lens options. Excellent!

If you are looking for safety glasses, try these guys. I got my last set from them and have been pretty happy with them.

They list 4 colors of Transition lenses. You should be able to get them without the prescription.

You might want to check if they will work in cars. My uncle has a pair that won't transition in his truck because of the UV blockers in the glass.

You'll need to log in to post.
