Sorry, connection flux.....
Engine was throwing Code 11223 and all his books didn't hold the answer.
We went up the street for a burrito and a beer and a discussion ...
He's been add it for 45 minutes when we returned, no resolution.
The car is the most rust free trial Trollhattan correct 900 since Pebble Beach. One bubble the size of your baby fingernail.
It was sporting Florida Transporter plates.
We left disappointed, nut with a bargaining chip.
The door jambs and sills are waxed, chrome screws in the door hinges are shiney.
I leave tomorrow but left Ian a thick stack of bills and an OK to speak for me. It will be in his name anyway since CT had no sniff test and allows stuff NY doesn't.
nice car, worth the effort, he's owned it 6 years.

Oh, when I told SWMBO, " Did he crack the head or header?"
Damn girl, you DO listen!!
One step at a time ........
Pulled the valve cover off and ran a file down the exposed ribs up top. Never be on less than 2 ribs any time, rounds things off. Now work your way through emery from coarse to 1200 with some water and liquid soap, always using the hard block. Shoot it with Krinkle Paint ($18!!).
Carefully pull a razor down the ribs when the paint is tacky. Cure for a day or so and then a lick with 1200 again. Done
Center cover has Roll Bar & Chassis paint, all new stainless fasteners.

That looks nice! Well-done.
Got one of those "on top of the dash" pods and mounted it to the ashtray I don't need. =~ )
I get to keep the phone holster just above the big junk holder. Got a new dash cover coming also.
I think my work is done here. The car has a few foibles like the plastic gear & rack in the sunroof, a gasket around the fuel pump that no one on the planet has, but it's about done.
The factory speakers were sun beat so I replaced them, but since then I get only 1/3 volume. Time for a new stereo. I have a new dash cover to install also. Registered in CT and no CT Cops here, I got a matching Euro plate. The rear plate is Classic in CT, correct for the year of the car.
... and damn fun to drive. ;- )

Wow. The seller wanted to buy it when I did but got called away for work, bought it a year later from me for $1000 less than I paid. For $3500 you'd be getting a very nice car.
(unless something happened to it).
Hey, what happened to the Aero wheels?
