I like to follow the links that you guys post. I like to be entertained or up to date on whatever issue we may be discussing. But I have a broken right click button and if you don't post the link by using the link button, above the smiley faces, third icon from the left, fourth from the right, it's a huge pain to get to the content you are trying to link to.
If you won't do it for me, at least think of the children, and do it for them.

My right click button is non operational.
I'm just wondering why the autoformatting is confused now.
Yeah the auto formatting of the links stopped working on one of the sites last updates, it has been infuriating trying to post links from my phone.

Most (all?) browsers have a: highlight and right click "open in a new tab" so it's seldom a big deal for me...? Still correct software useage would be ideal.
Highlighting and rightclicking while using a mobile device is right painful bitch, though. ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/crazy-18.png)

OK, but you can get a new mouse on Amazon for like $5......

But that's $5 I could put towards hookers and blow ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/evil-18.png)
Honestly, using the icon is the only way I ever knew. I had no idea that a person could create a link any other way. It's not a hassle to do it the proper way.
Isn't this how the HotLink thread started?

I am completely baffled by this request. A link is a link is a link? Links aren't accessed via right-click anyway? Can't you press the roller wheel or Shift+LeftClick on a link to open it in a new window/tab? Instead of replacing a broken mouse you would ask everyone in the forum to change?

In reply to nderwater:
But they are not clickable links.
If a person posts a link the proper way it's a clickable link, it's highlighted red so it looks like a link.
If a person attempts to post a link whichever way they do that fails. It's not a link it's just text. It's ugly and if it's buried in a wall of text it gets lost.
I'm baffled how people continue to attempt to post links and fail but consider that an OK thing to do.
The site used to auto format the links. Just highlight it and hit crtl+c and then click the address bar and press ctrl+v.

You can also just type in html <a href= or bbcode [url= tags if you're ingrained into doing them on the keyboard like I am.
I'm not sure if this post is going to bork the formatting for the rest of the thread. Let's find out!

Also for those unclear on what the OP meant -
non-clickable link (annoying & terrible) : http://wrongsleeveshirt.ytmnd.com/
clickable link (easy & smooth & sexy) : http://www.cameronsworld.net/
Do the clickable one.

Those are advanced computer operations I have never learned to use. However, now that you have shown me it looks easy enough to do.
Thank you.
Also, if you ever accidentally erase a bunch of text, hit ctrl +z to undo. Pretty much undoes whatever you just did.
I gotta say I am with Nick, it takes 2 seconds to do it the proper way ...

Just testing.
HTML link PASS
BBCode link PASS
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9VMfdG873E Undescribed BBCode link FAIL
Edit: okay, there's the problem. If you use a BBCode [url= ... ] tag and put a name/description in it works fine, but if you use a bare [url ] tag without the description it strips it away. Could that be why the inline link parser doesn't work anymore?
