I have a two story home with two bathrooms on the second floor. The backs of the toilet share a common wall, so I assume that they Y into a common drain at the wall

Today, after I flush either toilet (everything goes down) I'm getting air bubbles coming back up from the drain.

I have a septic system, and we've had a ton of rain this week, so I suppose that I could have too much water in the system.

Or could there be a blocked vent pipe? I have one way check valves in the attic, rather than pipes that exit through the roof.

Any suggestions?

Do you have an inspection cap at the end of the line? You might need to have the tank pumped out to give everything some time to dry out.

Any way to test the check valves?  It does sound like the only way air is getting into the system is when enough vacumm pulls it in through the toilet bowl.   Sort of like trying to pour cola out of a upside down bottle.

Problem seems to have gone away this morning.

I did pop tha cap on the brown water tank and there are no obstructions at the outlet. I'm a little more confident that this was a vent issue, but haven't figured out the source yet.

I'd be curious enough to push compressed air down the sink drain, see where it exits.

And... It's back again.

I didn't get a chance to pick up a replacement vent valve today, but they're cheap and it's an easy swap, so I'll try that tomorrow.

Side note: the washing machine MAY (not 100% certain) have been running each time that this has happened, so we may be sending a lot of water down the pipe at one time, but it's never been a issue before (20+ years), and a proper system should be able to handle that anyway.

This is the vent valve in question:
