Pobst and Figge are cool guys...

...as are all the Pirelli World Challenge drivers. I attended the autograph session at today's Lime Rock event, where Randy Pobst and Alex Figge were kind enough to sign my bumper sticker:

All the drivers were friendly and quick to chat. Several noticed my Volvo 240 shirt and asked about it - they perked up when they learned I race it. They made me feel like one of the 'in' crowd. Great time.

Randy and Alex battled hard out there, but the heat was a bit much for the turbocharged engines:

Cool people are just that: cool.

The big problem with the Volvo's in PWC is, they're very hard on front tires. And at a place like Lime Rock, the left front takes a tremendous beating.
