There are a lot of factors making modern high-end cars more fire-prone...they more commonly have turbos, composite bodywork, heat wrap from the factory, hybrid batteries as a cherry on top and then those are all packed very tightly together to fit in with the safety and emissions gear.
So car fires are going to be more common for a while.
Probably caused by arson motivated by social unrest.
I guess someone's insurance policy got to hot...
Costco has some smokin deals.

Or - when a Kia burns to the ground, nobody notices.
Hey I keep track of all the cars I've personally seen burn to the ground, and so far it's 50:50 between old Japanese beaters and boosted sports cars 
How did they drag that all the way to Costco?
