Knives are boring. I used a jig saw and a drill with a 3" hole saw to create Pacman chasing a ghost and eating dots in 8 minutes, which included 5 minutes of drinking beer.

Oh man..........bad thoughts.... I just like shooting pumpkins with my. 308, big mess.that being said. I like it.
I think I will stick with my 30 -60 minutes per gourd.
It is cathartic. Life is already too much of a rush. I take my time and enjoy the carving.

I'm going to carve one, don't know what yet. Not going to do it until the week of though.
Here is mine and my girlfriends from last year. Mine is the ship. Unfortunately, we didn't get one of the ship lit up after I'd finished it, but it was really awesome IMHO.

The googles report many creative carvers on a search for jack o lantern but this one is pure genius.
I used a Dremel last year. I think this year I'm getting out the spade bits and maybe the saw-zall.
