Generac one wash. 4 years old. Always stored empty, except last year apparently one of my guys left it have most of a tank. Drained and refilled.
hooked up, no start. Hit with starting fluid, fired up and ran until fluid was sucked out of the air filter. Pulled bowl, cleaned crap out, put bowl back, zero start with starting fluid even when i pulled the plug and shot some in the cylinder. Great strong spark, took the kill switch out of the equation.
Stumped, help please? I hate small gas engines. Having a birthday party next weekend and my deck is kinda gross.
Just got it fired on ether again, so something in the carb is E36 M3ted up? The dry bowl is now full of clean fresh gas so i can assume fuel supply is good
Meh. Think i’m just talking to myself here, but I ordered a new carb because berkeley ethanol

Good plan. The new carb part.
I leave my pressure washer with gas in it all the time (because I'm lazy) and it always starts first or second pull when i get out out, even after sitting over the winter.
I've seen some older fuel hose deteriorate from the inside and plug orifices in the carb. Blow out carb orifices w/ carb cleaner or low pressure air, replace fuel hoses if older. Worked for me.
On my pressure washer, the plug “fouls” while still getting spark. The thing usually starts right up but dies in 5 minutes or less.
New plug cures it every time. This is always after sitting all winter. With fuel. Just a thought.
Since it fired on ether it’s fuel delivery. I pull the bowl and remove the jet then clean out all passages in the jet with compressed air and MIG nozzle cleaner. Always seems to get them running again.

I have nothing to add except I also hate small engines with a firey passion. I forgot temporarily until I bought that wood chipper from you. Got the bastard running but still.
If you want to borrow my electric pressure washer though, you can, I'm just a bit far away.

^This. I have to do exactly this every year, whether i empty the tank and run it till it dies or leave it with a full tank.
