I am totally on board with this list:
If I recall correctly he used to have a mid-60s Thunderbird but I don't see it on the list.
My one Prince encounter: back in I think the summer of 1983 (before Purple Rain came out) I rode my motorcycle to a local ice cream parlor. I finished my banana split and was leaving when Prince rolled up and parked next to me, on his purple Honda along with a really hot woman passenger. I figured out later that the guy who painted his bike also painted a couple of mine.
That's a pretty conservative collection.
Prowlers were offered in purple so that's what color i expect.
A 1984 BMW 633CSi, a 1991 850i, a ZJ Grand Cherokee, a Panther, a Z3, and an Electra 225? That's a pretty awesome garage if ever I saw one.
It is actually a very GRM collection! I wonder how often he actually hopped in them and drove around on public roads...?

Could be a red XLR, that's just a very posh Corvette.

From the stories I've read, probably not much. Apparently he never carried a wallet, so chances are his drivers license was expired and he couldn't be bothered to get it renewed. One story I read was how he would go into town to get a coffee with nothing more than a $100 bill. He'd order the coffee, hand the clerk the $100, take the coffee and walk away.
Listen/watch Kevin's Smith's YouTube video about the project he did with Prince. It's hilarious.
Prince was a strange dude.

An eclectic loon for sure. That isn't so much a "collection" as the signature of a man who never got rid of anything.
Hmm... The BMW 850 was offered in Daytona Violet, but it is exceptionally rare. I wonder if this might be one of them...

Yeah, that's just a rich guy who bought what he wanted, and never got rid of any of them. That's not a normal "car guy" kind of garage.
In reply to STM317:
I think you're right, but it sounds like a tasteful collection, even if they're all purple.

Or Eddie Murphy's brother, Charlie Murphy. He was on the Chappell Show and had some great stories hanging out with Prince as well as Rick James. Their is a couple of outtake stories on the DVDs too that didn't make it into the broadcast show.
