My daughter just read two books to me. They are simple small books, but the experience was amazing.
She is <5 and a proud product of Montessori. Boy those monthly checks hurt, but they are worth it.

My kids are all great readers, and yes, you should be proud. They all love to read, and, as a direct result have great vocabularies and spelling ability.
Oh, and I don't even think they've ever written or typed "OMG", "LOL", "proly", or anything like that. Let's keep it that way.
Congrats. My little girl went to Goddard (similar to Montessori). She is in 1st Grade and way ahead of most of her class mates.
Her 3 year old little brother will start in the fall, the payments suck, but hopefully it will help prepare for collage. Not kids and their studies, but prepare me for making those huge payments for education.
Good on you Fueled by Caffeine,
Whatever it costs, just pay it…the dividends will keep rolling in long after we’re all in the ground.

Hopefully she will do well enough in school to get scholarships because of test scores and GPA.
One of my younger brothers went to a Montessori school. He's pretty smart and I'm proud of him. But he still calls me with questions on his car or to help him install/replace something.
